1030 did...
most probabily 1031 too---
What does happen to cycle 24?
Why nobody (noaa/nasa/sidc) talk about?

The latitude is not from cycle 23 ... it's 25'cycle
It is the second spot with reversed polarity in a week ...
3%?

Even though Leif had linked to a paper that was speculating that cycle 25 may be starting early, still it is not unusual to have reversed polarity current cycle spots.
Leif gave another link, http://www.leif.org/EOS/1992ASPC-Harvey.pdf
where in figure 4 the probability of having reverse polarity is quite high for small area spots, and these are small area spots. Up to 40%.

I think that we are currently on a 24 cycle with more 23 cycle spot that are uncounted by NOAA. I think that cycle 24 could not is considered "aborted" like is thinking "dalton", because is very unusual have a cycle fading out without a maximum... (I don't know if I was able to be under-stained, English it isn't my natural language)

So we've got two small spots with reversed polarity, one after another?
Isn't it waaaay too soon to be calling cycle 24 DOA and calling them cycle 25 spots?
Give it a few months. The way 24's been acting, giving things a long time to develop is the only way to even sound like you're rational, rather than grasping at straws.

This cycle just continues to push the envelope, both with twisted spots and low-latitude spots. It cannot seem to do anything normally, and that's being very nice about it.

the thing that i can't understand, is why noaa counted 1020, 1030, ect ect and did not count the spot of yesterday...
stange cycle, the latitudine and the polarity cuold be for a cycle 25's region. and two spot with reversed polarity are very very strange for me... Regards

Dear Dalton, we've two strange sunspot: but like as we have take attention to say that this could be the starting of a new Great Minimum, we must do have attempt ion before to say that this could be an aborted cycle. (you known, here in Italy is not possible to use this word: I if we speak about an "abort", Pope Benedict XVI cries ). Sun is having a new cycle: I think that we still having sunspot of 23rd cycle in, despite the strange latitude. We haven't had a "maximum" of cycle 24 (in fact only two month ago was in doubt if we have just had a minimum of 23): we must have only patience. The calm is for the fierce.
