Sentient, in ref to AshkenazyTziperman2004, the summary at beginning of paper:
"The 100 kyr oscillations are then weakly influenced by this external clock, and adjust their timing to be in phase with the changes in solar radiation."
Sounds like the chief factor here would be solar changes.
At other times in the paper, Milankovitch Cycles seemingly were given more credit, with "insolation" being a substantiating factor.
Regardless, I figured that the likes of "Whatsupwiththat" would be giving more attention to the recent unprecedented (for 166 years, anyway) geomagnetism drop, but have seen nothing.
