A newspaper with the headline "We are all going to DIE!!" will sell far better than one that says - "Next decade's weather much the same". So Chicken Little will always get the headline even if the hyperbole has to be greater each time. Agreed. My point was that they will print "we are all going to die" based on AGW because it is a left icon. They are not going to print "we are all going to die" based on a right wing icon. Psychologically speaking it goes deeper than that. The smoke alarm salesman is never the hero. The fireman is.
