Another cold start here in the South east of the UK, good and frosty ;D
Originally it was forecast that a low pressure system would track across the UK, however now it will get stopped in its tracks.
So the next week will be interesting ;D

Hi byz, where'd you get your 24th Nov cold prediction from? Last year I used to browse a german meterological website which predicted ahead 14 days for europe, but I've forgotten the link. You know it?

And the ice age continues here in Norway... Trondheim is again over 1c below normal for last 30 days and will dip alot lower with forecasts showing temps near -20c. Northern norway is even further below normal looking more like ice age temps: Last 30 days: Average temperature was -9.0 °C, 3.0 °C below the normal. Highest temperature was 4.7 °C (19 October), and the lowest was -28.1 °C (17 November).
What is even more funny is that norwegian metrological institute released a new update to the long term seasonal forecast for this winter.. They expect it to be 2-2.5c above normal in most of norway and warmest temps are expected around my area.. Funny how forecast for next week(s) show lower temps than what is even normal during a normal winter and this is november!
This winter is definitely a repeat of last year if not worse....

I am pretty sure that is wrong, because this winter is already cold as heck even though we are only in november. We have already had lower temps than what is normal during the coldest days in a normal winter. The only difference is that the cold hit earlier this year, so i really cant imagine how cold it will get when winter hits for real.. The current forecast show that cold spell over norway will not only get worse, but it will last for at least 2 weeks more. If this happens it will already be the second worst winter in my lifetime even though winter hasnt even really started. And the forecast for this city: www.yr.no/sted/Norge/S%C3%B8r-Tr%C3%B8ndelag/Trondheim/Trondheim/sannsynlighetsvarsel.pngand: www.wunderground.com/global/stations/01271.htmlNormal average at this time of year would be 3-5c day temps and slightly below freezing at night.. So november is so far even colder than a normal december-feb month.

Just remember no matter what happens it is always consistent with the science of AGW.

LOL, its also messed up because it would be a negative feedback. Almost ALL the warming is in the northern hemisphere.

LOL, its also messed up because it would be a negative feedback. Almost ALL the warming is in the northern hemisphere. At least all the name change makes sense now.. They want it to cover absolutely all changes in climate, so they can say that co2 caused it.. Funny how they claimed that it was just freak weather event that had nothing to do with climate when last winter hit, but now it is suddenly all caused by AGW and even predicted by their models.

Prepare for a interesting winter, though after December and January, you should be actually warmer than some southern European regions by the time February and March 2011 arrive.

I am pretty sure that is wrong, because this winter is already cold as heck even though we are only in november. We have already had lower temps than what is normal during the coldest days in a normal winter. The same happened in November 1989 in Slovakia. November hit record -26°C in northern part of the country, but the winter overall was rather mild. But unlike catastrophic predictions in 2100, we can evaluate winter forecast in few months.
