I choose not to comment on this article. You can speculate on why. . . Allow me to speculate:
1. Because the author, Glenn Scherer, is a nobody. His organization (Blue Ridge Press), is nothing. DB Profile of Blue Ridge Press
2. Because Living Green Magazine, which published the article, has a circulation of about 35,000 and is read mainly by greenies. Of the five on-line comments on the mag's website, four ridiculed the link to global warming.
3. Because you value your time more than to waste good CO2 talking about fringe writers.

There was a phrase that one heard during the existence of the Soviet Union. "There is no news in the truth, and no truth in the news" which reffered to the two papers "Pravda" and "Isvestia". Looks like they finally got it right. english.pravda.ru/science/earth/07-08-2013/125325-global_warming-0/What irony! Pravda criticizing Jim Hansen (Trofim Denisovich Lysenko) and global warming.

Never thought of it this way, but the Op-ed does have a point.

endisnighnot.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-past-is-getting-colder.html The Past is Getting Colder Wanted: a detective. Mission: to track down Iceland's temperature records from a century ago. These records would have been written in ink on paper. They may still exist in an archive somewhere. If they can be found, and images of the originals can be made public, then a scientific fraud can be exposed. Last year I wrote a piece called GISS - Strange Anomalies, where I showed the gradual lowering of historical temperatures in the Arctic by the NASA division GISS - the Goddard Institute of Space Studies headed until recently by global warming fantasist James Hansen. It has got worse...

Our biggest threat is stupidity. Like protesting global warming when you are outside bundled up enough to endure a blizzard.

This just gets nuttier every day. Wouldn't be so bad IF there was scientific validity to the forecasts. But there isn't.

Nope, this is the next one coming down the pike. Farmers are really concerned about this baby, as we are the largest users of N in the country. There was a proposal by the EPA that you have to abide by how much N they think you need. They were going to check purchases verses land area etc. Both the Farm Bureau and Farmers Union attacked that one, but it is in their minds.

No. It's worse, much worse. Communism was a real threat (as was Joe and his henchmen).
