New study supposedly documenting sea ice outbreak starting about 1300 or so initiating the little Ice Age. This coincides generally with the Wolf Minimum and continuing into the Sporer Minimum. phys.org/news/2020-09-sea-ice-triggered-age.html

OK Arctic watchers. There are several of you that have watched the Arctic much more than I have. I put this Adapt 2030 video up here because David seems to have found a large quirky phenomena in the Arctic Ocean. So, is he full of it? Or is this something really interesting? And if so, what?

[ Snipped video ] He says it's not freezing in October but is that correct? DMI: Northern Hemisphere Sea Ice extentThis is certainly very interesting and I will wait till someone else can make a sensible comment.

If it stays lower than normal, I expect a noisy reappearance of the CO2 God. Geothermal effects in the Arctic have been inconclusively noted before. If an actual, measureable source with traceable ice effects makes an appearance, that would be a "real big deal". Was that sensible? Or should I go back to my basement and check on Joe?

Why no reciprocal concern that Antarctic sea ice is almost 2 standard deviations above normal?

I posted a recent paper about the suns influence on this very area. Guess I should have posted it on this thread rather than the sun thread.
