If has slowed, but with the zero production tax it has exploded again.

A very interesting video just below the top of this page (released last night). Some would say ... 'Oh, ya can't trust those rich guys ... they're only in it for themselves.' But I say ..., maybe at some point many people get enough to stand back and just say what they think is true. Should we listen to this guy??? carlicahn.com/And I think some people here have been looking at the possibility of this. May be 2500 DOW points into it. www.moneyandmarkets.com/last-two-bear-markets-can-teach-potential-one-73476#.VgrQt_lViko

If has slowed, but with the zero production tax it has exploded again. The North Dakota rig count is down by 62% from a year ago. Which is an accurate reflection of the rig count in general nation wide. The coming winter will probably see more rigs in ND lay down as the expense of drilling during these months increases. All in all the only companies that are drilling in this environment are the majors with deep pockets or those smart enough to hedge their production out over a longer time. What most people do not realize is that most of the smaller companies drill wells with borrowed money and in the coming months many financiers will be bailing out. This deepens before it gets better.

As is so often the case, Mr. Glenn understands what makes the top drive turn. This is going to be very ugly for the US energy businesses. I only hope it's not like the mid eighties, when the business lost so many skilled folks who gave up on the industry because they couldn't tolerate the constant boom and bust with families to raise. The recovery will be much more costly and dangerous if we have to train fresh folks in the technologies.
By the by, Mr. Glenn, I don't supposed the Kentucky clerk of court wins me that dinner at Gal's? Getting pretty close, though.

The Clerk is not "Clergy" but there seems to be a trend.

Probably more likely that she did that to herself so she could claim somebody with some credibility supported what she was doing. Is anybody with sympathy for her cause really going to use caustic soda or something similar to burn out a persons eyes??
