tribixler, this from the company that printed the "booklet".
Acton, who spoke to Breitbart News by telephone, confirmed precise details of the booklet and said that it cost the agency tens of thousands of dollars to produce. He indicated that while "almost nobody" wrote his or her own biography, the non-athletes in the booklet, whom "the agents deal[t] with on a daily basis," were "probably" approached to approve the text as presented.

His agent didn't fact check Obama's [anonymous] "source" for his place of birth for 16 years, after several revisions and Obama becoming Senator. Who was the source? Neither Obama or any family member or friend noticed the error. I think it is entirely possible Obama used this touching heart wrenching story to advance his career; poor disadvantaged Kenyan boy from the bowels of poverty hoists himself up to eventually become president of the United States. Everything about this man is phony. On the other hand, apparently Michelle Obama wasn't given the memo.

"Wow. Take the rose colored glasses off. The guy was raised by Communists/Marxists, surrounded himself by others in radical groups during his college years, hooked up with Bill Ayers and other radicals who launched his political career." magellan your rant sounds familar. Did you get that from Joseph Mccarthy? Name one item in my post that is untrue. Obama is what he is. Denying his own words exist like you are doing is a bit difficult to grasp on my part.

magellan, I'm not sure Mr. Obama had an agent in 1991 when it was written.

sigurdur, I don't want America to fail but I think it may take hitting rock bottom to jar this great nation back into shape. Work ethic has to be restored and the cozy relationship between big business and our Congress has to change. In particular the relationship our delegates have with the financial industry. Banking has changed from making a fair amount of money by making safe tried and true loans to one of "black pools" and dangerous derivative trading and gambling on get rich schemes.

Glenn: Looks to me like there are too many Democrats anymore. You can talk to them about fiscal issues, but it seems to go right over their heads. The Republicans who are in power are only preserving their wealth by diverting monies to themselves.
Both parties appear to be beyond hope.
The leadership vacuum continues to grow.

magellan, I'm not sure Mr. Obama had an agent in 1991 when it was written. I'm sure you're not sure, but he did. Do not start calling me a birther. I am only interested in facts, and thus far there is nothing factual about this man's origin of birth. I don't know if Obama was born in Hawaii or not, and neither does anyone else at this point, except him and a few others. You seem to think there are microfiche files and hard copies of his birth certificate. Where are they? If they existed or have been made public, this issue would have died a long time ago. A certificate of live birth is not a birth certificate, and the one submitted was blatantly fake, there is absolutely no doubt about that. It may have been a joke to continue the charade. Would an honorable man do that? News ads of birth does prove anything. He could have been born in Kenya and his mother wanted him to be a citizen of the U.S., hence getting a certificate of live birth and taking out an ad. What are the odds at this point Obama's literary agent made an error? www.americanthinker.com/2012/05/bayes_theorem_and_mr_obamas_literary_agency.html

magellan, he released the birth certificate but that apparently is not good enough for you and others. There are both original copies and microfiche copies all over the world with the birth announcement.
At this point there is no amount of proof the man can offer. His birth certificate was good enough to appease the FBI but it will never be good enough to appease the conspiracy theorists. Facts seldom do.

sigurdur, I agree that both parties are beyond hope. That is why I write in Ron Paul year after year. I agree with him about 1/2 of the time but the man is as honest as the day is long and he is certainly not in bed with the lobbyists.

The Republicans who are in power are only preserving their wealth by diverting monies to themselves. Please expound on this. Seriously, I want to know the precise details of how Republicans who are "in power" (it is only the House) divert money to themselves, yet Democrats somehow do not? It is always fascinating when I see statements like this. Democrats have controlled Congress for the vast majority of the past 70 years, and a large number of them are members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus in the House, so I'm wondering how it is that Republicans are diverting money to themselves. Note how many incumbent Progressive/Rino Republicans got the boot in 2010 and this election cycle. I am a member of the county Tea Party and can assure you anyone smacking of BAU politicians are not welcome.

He released a CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH....not the same thing, and a faked one at that. The FBI is an arm of the Administration in power. It is no different than Eric Holder saying he cleared the White House of any wrong doing in the current national security scandal, the Fast & Furious scandal or the other numerous lawless acts by this administration. Quite a while back you said the economy was improving, and the world economy was to follow. How's that working out? I'm only interested in facts, not words.

How many recall it was the Hillary Clinton campaign that first brought this up, the same people that illegally accessed FBI files for their enemies list, not some conspiracy group.
Why was Hillary appointed SoS again?

magellan: When you look at the current tax laws, and follow the trails, many were proposed and passed by Republicans. The tax laws favor the wealthy, no question about that.
I am an old Eisenhower conservative, and do the same thing as Glenn does. I have written in Ron Paul for the past 2 election cycles. I will be doing it again.
There is an easy fix to our fiscal problems. It requires an increase in revenue, and a freeze in spending at the Fed level....period.
The freeze has to come first, yet no one wants to freeze spending. There seems to be approx 10 folks out of the Senate and House who are serious. Rep Ryan certainly isn't. His prposal is a joke as it does not address revenue NOR spending. Only increases spending.
I don't think there are enough of us left anymore who understand economics and what the current path entails. And it pisses me off because I have two young daughters and now two grandchildren. Their opportunity is being squandered.
