So are we in essence saying the Stock Market sometime in the future is going to go down? Hopefully not until I cash out!

A short reply, yes. Which really pisses me off. I have grandkids. No Grand-kids but I do have genetic material walking around. I'm more worried about my own ass. During my life I have had periods of very little. Kept food on the table, but grocery bill was very small. People in cities don't know how to do that, nor do most have an area to do it in. I didn't buy clothes, I fixed what I had. Made sure there was enough in the Kitty to provide heat. Made it, but it wasn't fun at all. I don't want my kids, nor Grandkids to have to experience what I have.

Have you considered that they may experience worse than what you have? We will reach a point where it will be a numerical impossibility to to pay off the debt. Then our duly elected officials will look for some type of economic "reset" to wipe out the debt and start back at zero.

I think that there are some politicians in power at the moment who are aiming at forcing just that conclusion - had Hillary won with a majority we would already be irrecoverably further down that path. As it is the Democrats in the Senate with the _eager_ cooperation of RINOs are trying their best to get there anyway. The only thing that will stop the madness is a Republican majority in the senate with more than 60 seats.

I do not share your optimism. Since the election the president has hardly mentioned the debt and both houses of Congress under Republican control have not even begun to address our long term fiscal issues.
I have no reason to believe even a super majority of Republicans would do anything.
They spend as much as the Democrats. It seems the new boss is the same as the old one

It seems the new boss is the same as the old one Unfortunately, the Senate is NOT under Republican control. All normal votes require a 'super majority' of 60 to pass and the Senate Democrats have been stopping vote after vote even stalling on allowing votes 'to the floor'. Nothing can pass without Democrat support and on most things they act in intransigent lockstep and ' vote just as their leaders tell them to' (Gilbert and Sullivan) They do this even if the result would please their supporters because they want to screw Trump. The result is that almost all Congress bills of any importance have died in the Senate for the last 14 months or been modified by Democrats and RINOs to be unwelcome. This is a battle that Trump cannot win - the best he can hope for is a draw. So some of the larger bills that have been pushed through tend to be a bit of a "parson's egg" (google it). There is little point in going to battle on things that Trump cannot win, so he wins where he can. If Trump is to get the bills he wants to pass, it is important to get a so called filibuster proof majority in the Senate. Until then keep his powder dry and work on winning the mid-terms.

It seems the new boss is the same as the old one Republicans like to spend more money than Democrats. Historically. Today, it appears that Democrats and Republicans are on an even keel, both like to spend money without regard to long term economic consequences. I have talked to my 2 Senators and 1 Rep personally about this. They now try NOT to meet me, will turn away as I am firm in my direction and they don't like the crowd that ensues.

Pajama Media - but not soft and cuddly... "Democrats Are Headed for a World of (Deserved) Hurt
After years of non-stop virtue signaling as the party of "truth, justice and equality," the Democrats are slowly, inexorably being revealed to be the reverse. They are being hoisted on the petard of their own moral narcissism. It has made them blind." pjmedia.com/rogerlsimon/democrats-headed-world-deserved-hurt/

I don't think the Republicans will ever get a super majority. Even if they did I do not see the will to do what is necessary to right the fiscal ship.

These overpaid mummers are annoying.
ICU nurse saves several lives a week - is paid less a year than these blowhards are paid a day.
It is unsurprising that these {in}'famous' script readers have these distorted views of the world.
