news.yahoo.com/impacts-climate-change-never-able-190600881.html As sea levels continue to rise, scenes like this one from the Outer Banks in North Carolina, could become more commonplace in coastal areas around the world. Around the world, the race is on to slash greenhouse gas emissions and halt global climate change before it causes devastating — and maybe permanent — consequences for the planet. In December, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change met in Lima, Peru to begin drafting an international agreement to cut emissions and begin the process of halting climate change before it's too late.

Disruption implies a pause in normal progress. So would the 18 years pause somehow qualify as a disruption of the "normal" rise in temperature.
Sorry disruption is a word that is utterly unquantifiable thus no measurement can prove or disprove its existence. A well structured religion would use this type of language.
Who is the Pope of this mob.

the more things change the more they stay the same. During the so-called age of enlightenment the body of published work contained more hogwash than good science. Becoming a researcher was more dependent upon the ability of your parents to pay for it than on merit. That continues to this day except we now have a nanny state to do it if you weren't born well.
