Anyone ever hear that odd and even solar cycles produce a different effect on earths climate/weather?? Possibly due to polarity reversal having different effects on our magnetic shield tying in with Svensmark theory?? adsabs.harvard.edu/full/1985ICRC....4..493O

You will be our guide. It's a brave new world (if the "new" communists don't send us back to our communal chores). I can say no ... for what it's worth.

Then when Gwv looks back at even numbered cycle minimums , those years are at most 2 from the 20 year summer cycle I was banging on about a while back. So, within 2 years of an even cycle minima, you get a summer to remember.

So, within 2 years of an even cycle minima, you get a summer to remember. Here, 2012 was our very hot, dry year ... 2 yrs after SC23-24 minimum. This year (6 years later) another not quite so hot-dry event occurred ... on the downslope to SC24-25 minimum. Other dry periods occurred in the 1970s, 1950s and 1930s, perhaps generally associated with SC20, SC18 and SC16. Very quick looks only.

"Climate and the Solar Magnetic Field October 19, 2018Russ Steele Presentation by Professor Valentina Zharkova When: Wednesday 31st October, from 6:00 PM – 7:30
.....Based on this correlation, the summary curve was used for the prediction of long-term solar activity on a millennial timescale. This prediction revealed the presence of a grand cycle of 350-400 years, with a remarkable resemblance to the sunspot and terrestrial activity features reported in the past millennia: Maunder (grand) Minimum (1645-1715), Wolf (grand) minimum (1200), Oort (grand) minimum (1010-1050), Homer (grand) minimum (800-900 BC); the medieval (900-1200) warm period, Roman (400-10BC) and other warm periods.
This approach also predicts the modern grand minimum upcoming in 2020-2055
