It has live PTO and the fast hitch connectors which I kinda like just cause I already have the implements, glad I don't have to buy them after the fact. I also like its slightly lower center of gravity for the generally non-farm stuff I do. You are lucky you found one like this. The 300 was nearly indestructible. And for what you use it for, will prob last another 40 years.

See what I mean code? A lot of money for small tractors.
That 454 looked sweet tho, but it would take another 2k to get it home.

I have seen funny colored grasshoppers before, but none quite like this "IH Red" specimen that I saw yesterday. Actually, the biomass of spiders and other bugs out there in the 5 or 6 foot tall green fescue was incredible, for August 18. Almost too much to mow. A sign of the times. Another day where they predicted 95 but the actual high temp was 83.

Wet spring/cool summer has hurt Canadian wheat production.
Harvest of spring wheat just starting, 6-10 and 8-14 day wet and cool.
Row crops needed rain, but 2 inches would work and then a dry pattern.
Oh well, might as well continue the "struggle".

zaphod: The sad thing is, the Ukraine deal was promoted by Europe and executed by the USA. The leaders didn't like the fact the President of Ukraine, who was actually elected, was signing an agreement with Russia.
The US is now also suffering the trade retaliation. Not only in Ag, but in Oil development etc.
It is so stupid to start trade wars today, as it was stupid in times past. Russia is actually in a lot better fiscal shape, as a country, than the countries of Europe and the USA.
This is not going to end well in the long run.

Cool and wet 6-10 and 8-14 forecast. Does not bode well for a speedy efficient harvest.

Looks like soybeans, wheat and corn will have record production this farming year in the Northern Hemisphere. Ending stocks, according to last USDA report, will be at record highs.
The prices of the commodities are showing this. Corn at the local elevator is 2.42 a bushel. Wayyyyyyyyyyy below cost of production. Wheat under $5.00 bucks, wayyyyyyy below cost of production. Soybeans about break even yet, but the trend is down.
South America is experiencing excellent weather to start their growing year. Going to be an interesting next couple of years.

So grocery prices should be dropping now...after the drought of 2012; all the grocery people were quick say food was going up because commodity prices were at record highs. Now prices are at 5 year lows so prices should be dropping but we all know they won't. I really wish some of the agriculture groups would call out these places that raised prices when commodity prices were high and now aren't lowering prices now when commodities are at the lows.

Going to b a record year for the big 2 in USA. Corn/beans. Test weight is light on corn tho. It was a bit too cool in the corn belt. Talked to a friend from Iowa yesterday.

Can't be true - it was the hottest year evah in particular September was unprecedentedly warm, we have that on the authority of NASA/NOAA. You guys in the fly-over states have got it all wrong GISS will send you a print out from a computer in New York that will show you the temperatures were not cool.
