code: Flearider is probably a lot like me. When I see a paper I want to keep for reference, I save it for quick reference.
The board is a great place to "park" references, and I think flearider's idea is a great idea.
Unless you have really examined the board, I am pretty sure that you haven't read the thread about magnetic links to climate. A feller named William was a treasure trove of published papers. He was very knowledgeable about this area. He doesn't seem to frequent the board anymore. I have e-mailed him, but not received an answer so potentially ill health or some other cause has prevented him from continuing this very welcomed comments and sharing of knowledge.
Good idea Flearider.

Through the years I have saved quite a lot (increasing every day), in a .doc file. It is half Spanish, half English. If anyone wants to get it, just explain me how I can attach it here.

Use Zotero with Firefox or standalone; the best way to save and organize documents. Have it auto-backed up to the cloud or thumb drive, Google docs, drop box etc. For bookmarks, use the sync function in Firefox. That way, every device you log into will have the latest bookmarks, history etc. and if your pc dies, no problem. I have over 400MB of data/papers/web pages etc. saved over the years using Zotero. One reason that makes it so good is you can save the link as a viewable web page so even if the link goes dead you will still be able to read it. These days there's no reason to lose important data other than not bothering to back it up. Another excellent program is en.pdf24.org/creator.html I use it at work. Every one of the above options are free and not difficult to use.

Thanks, ratty and magellan, but after reading ratty´s doc mine looks shamefully disorganized. I´ll try to better it before I make it public.
