The steady drip of papers and observations that are contrary to Catastrophic AGW only seems to cause the calls from the 'warmists' to get more shrill and the number of papers from government agencies on the dangers of 'climate change' to increase. As everyone accepts now that there has been no climate change for 18 years one wonders how long this ranting can continue. It would be very interesting to know who tasked the Pentagon with generating the climate change paper. Ahh it will be the 2 junior officers in Cincinnati! (or was that some other federal agency?)

Honestly, that article was quite disappointing, especially in light of the wording of the headline. It also has a very obvious slant. Some of the problems: The article headline says I don't find a statement in there to this affect at all. In fact, I don't find a statement from the Japanese Space Agency in the article at all. I see a satellite image from them, and the interpretation of that image is all external to the Japanese Space Agency. This is certainly a far cry from "Agrees with skeptics" which would imply a statement interpreting that satellite data to agree with skeptics. In addition, "skeptics" needs to be defined in this context to have much meaning since there is an entire spectrum and not a single dogmatic position that is "skeptics." A much more honest handling would be to state that the IBUKI shows that higher <insert the findings of the first sentence>. The wording is intended to lead us to a conclusion that isn't there. The second sentence in the first paragraph states: Once again, this seems to be leading us to conclude that the Japanese Space Agency is linking the abandonment of CO2 targets to separate scientific evidence suggesting Earth is fast approaching a new ice age. (Doesn't it sound like that to other people?) When you search for Japan abandoning those targets, you find it announced this in November of 2013, and the stated reason is that they cannot meet them after the Fukushima disaster. I can find no place that the Japanese Space Agency even acknowledges the approaching of a new ice age - not even speculation. Most of what I find when searching for other articles on this is actually ranting against Japan for doing this, but this article states it about as succinctly as I can glean from other articles: peakoil.com/enviroment/japan-abandons-plan-to-reduce-environmental-pollution-in-wake-of-nuclear-energy-shutdownI would think the article would link us to sources backing up these claims, but I don't find them in the article at all. The article takes a tangent based on statements and possibilities from people completely external to the Japanese Space Agency. Some of them interpret the CO2 image, but most of them have nothing to do with it. I'm a skeptic, yes, but this is an article I would toss out. I looked up who Principia Scientific is, and it seems they don't have much credibility. From the article, I can see why. I think using an article like this to back a position would be more harmful to the position than helpful to it.

Principia Scientific relies on the Flat Earth Society for documentation. They have similar credibility to AGW advocates.

there is an entire spectrum and not a single dogmatic position that is "skeptics." wasn't there a study that said all skeptics were right-wing tinfoil hat conspiracy nutters?
