The problem is that at the scientist level they often almost tell the truth. However, the document that all the politicians read is the 'Summary for Policy Makers' which is written by politicians and their assistants. These politicians then insist that the science summaries from each working group are 'corrected' to match the summary that the politicians have written. Consequently, if anyone complains about the IPCC the scientists point out sections inside the detailed reports, and say look how good the science is. But the politicians are making policy based on the Summary for Policy Makers. No scientist in the IPCC appears to have the ethics or the moral fiber to resign and take their papers with them on the grounds that they are being used by the politicians. Instead they act as if they are proud to be part of this scam. People will do anything for a grant these days.
