Does this have anything to do with global warming or weather?

The question actually is: Even if we could, do we WANT to reduce global surface temperatures by 0.5C? I would say no, as the increase in temperature has allowed ag to become more productive. This increase, as a result of warming, is actually providing enough food to feed the world's populations at current levels. Why would one want to take a step backwards to a colder time? I, for one, can't think of any good reason to do so, but I could be missing something.

Does this have anything to do with global warming or weather? Nope, I thought the subject was interesting and the title of the forum seemed to be spot on, but you sound pertubed so not wishing to incite I'll take it down. Incidentally I voted for the guy, twice, and I have a couple of friends, whom I respect, who knew him as a young man in college and still know him today. The connection you may think exists doesn't. thank you. there is an open forum where all topics not covered by the other forums is allowed. Just click "home" and its the bottom forum. I commented not because I was perturbed but its more of a matter of keeping discussion on topic and for the record I cast zero votes for him and voted two times for his major opponent in a failed attempt to deny him office because my research demonstrated he was the biggest special interest candidate that was running. Politics is clearly part of this forum where it intersects with global warming and there is plenty of stuff related to that and our president to talk about.

Kind of looks like the AMO doesn't it? If so, their precip. should be going back down soon.

The Magic Molecule can certainly do wonderful things. Perhaps ... if I fell down ... hit my head on the ground for awhile ... and had a good stiff drink ... maybe I could see one out of each eye!! A new study by scientists at the National Centre for Atmospheric Science, University of Reading, UK, shows how increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere accidentally triggered a return of the crucial seasonal rains on which much of the Sahel region relies for agriculture and drinking water. HOWEVER .... The scientists added that while these results suggest that climate change has had some beneficial effects for this part of Africa in the short term, the long-term impacts will be very different as greenhouse gases continue to accumulate in the atmosphere. Would you buy a used climate model from this man?
