Boxman. I found a 'cute' little article written by a 'Yankee adventurer in Norway' called 'Norwegians are born to Freeze'. This one is 'closer' to being a Yankee as she is from Ohio (based on a proximity test to Boston). edgeofthearctic.wordpress.com/2012/12/03/norwegians-are-born-to-freeze/We haven't heard from you for awhile. What are the local prognosticators saying about the upcoming winter?

Ignore anything weather related from Express and Mail Missouriboy. ...They publish nothing but nonsense on this subject, it is purely to drive sales.
Having these guys on your side is an intellectual disadvantage!!

Mild here in Finland. Surprising amount of leaves still on the trees in the garden. Had one night of -3 and 2 lessor frosts around 0/-1. Wife saying they are forecasting mild winter again. Summer came late but was ok in the end but nothing like the last few years.

I dont think it would matter.....Jeremey seems to be a single minded sort...dont know about him, dont think he'll be PM, Blair and Cameron have been from the same mould effectively, in this media world that seems to be what works, not radicles.

I'm impressed. We have more color in our trees here at 40 deg. N than you do ... and our temperatures have been about normal.

Well I have never seen a 'cane do that before? Tropical storm into strongest 'Cane recorded for the region in just 36 hrs? Is 1/2 a day enough time to get 'storm ready' for a storm whose wind signal ( Cat 5) indicates " nothing left standing" Is this one of those 'Grey Swan' events we were warned to expect???
