the rate of increase of CO2 in the atmosphere is not slowing down. If anything it's speeding up. Well fancy seeing you back SoCold (aka Cthulhu) welcome back Now show a graph that runs through to end 2015.

This graph is a 13-week running average of ANNUAL CO2 change (ppm) by week (e.g. 1st week April 2012 minus 1st week April 2011) of Mauna Loa CO2 from 1975 to 2015. Interesting how the 1997 El Nino stands out and 'the pause years' also. Looks a lot like a satellite temperature deviation graph. The annual increase in CO2 has been declining since 2013. I've included Roy Spencer's latest UAH temperature deviation graph. Ya suppose that the ocean might have been releasing a bit of CO2 in 1997-98???
