advances.sciencemag.org/content/2/11/e1501923.fullnot very nice reading esp. as we already appear to be ramping up responses with CO2 likely to see a record rise in 2016 as Nino droughts limit CO2 uptake by vegetation. This will be the third consecutive year we have posted 3+ ppm increases which puts us above the 8.5 pathway even without this discovery of higher sensitivities to GHG's from warmer climates. If we continue with our current warming spurt then we can expect further rapid warming. As it is uncle Donald already promised to rip up Paris and undo all the environmental work done over the last 8 years???

Note the opening sentence in the abstract: Global mean surface temperatures are rising in response to anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. When you start with an incorrect premise, it goes downhill from there.

I fully support President Elect Trump's promise to shred the Paris Agreement. 1. President Obama did NOT have the authority to eneact the accord. 2. An agreement, in the USA, that involves international standing requires Senate approval. Our courts were in the process of killing it. President Trump will be saving a lot of time.

Yep where the climate will be changing is in the climate community. No doubt there will be a lot of climate refugees. Maybe Syria will take some of them off our hands? They could use the distraction/

Graywolf, you are missing the point! Naut said "The opposite is happening - not that CO2 has any measurable effect in the real atmosphere. " Too many scientists doubt the effect of CO2 wrt catastrophic/runaway/unprecedented warming. Many don't know and aren't prepared to stake their reputations on CO2 being an evil gas; then there is this: Dilution of Atmospheric Radiocarbon CO2 by Fossil Fuel EmissionsIf you MUST believe in the party line ..... I guess you must carry on. Faith is a powerful thing.
