Hundreds of scientists urge Trump to withdraw from U.N. climate-change agency MIT’s Richard Lindzen says policies cause economic harm with ‘no environmental benefits’ More than 300 scientists have urged President Trump to withdraw from the U.N.’s climate change agency, warning that its push to curtail carbon dioxide threatens to exacerbate poverty without improving the environment. In a Thursday letter to the president, MIT professor emeritus Richard Lindzen called on the United States and other nations to “change course on an outdated international agreement that targets minor greenhouse gases,” starting with carbon dioxide. “Since 2009, the US and other governments have undertaken actions with respect to global climate that are not scientifically justified and that already have, and will continue to cause serious social and economic harm — with no environmental benefits,” said Mr. Lindzen, a prominent atmospheric physicist.

The government doesn't stand a chance. Strange the immediate effect that withdrawal of funding has. There is no treaty, there is no requirement to spend the money, it will not be spent. Expect the toddler style tantrums as a favorite toy is taken away. After time out to grizzle I would expect that another 'toy' will be chosen to play with. As soon as the subsidies and large amounts of money disappear expect the number of rent seeking academics, lawyers and press to rapidly reduce and the investment money will cease to be put into subsidy farms and the wind turbine markers of these farms will be left to rot. Areas that have gone too far to back down like South Australia, will demonstrate the reason why 'renewables' were not a good idea.

Fox News announcing that the decision has been made for the US to abandon the 'Paris Climate Accord' aka COP21 - official line is there will be an announcement in the next few days. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth - indeed some sufferers from Trump Derangement Syndrome may become completely insane A late addition: "President Trump has made his decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the decision. Details on how the withdrawal will be executed are being worked out by a small team including EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. They're deciding on whether to initiate a full, formal withdrawal — which could take 3 years — or exit the underlying United Nations climate change treaty, which would be faster but more extreme.
Why this matters: Pulling out of Paris is the biggest thing Trump could do to unravel Obama's climate legacy. It sends a combative signal to the rest of the world that America doesn't prioritize climate change and threatens to unravel the ambition of the entire deal."www.axios.com/scoop-trump-is-pulling-u-s-out-of-paris-climate-deal-2427773025.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=organic
