They are really astride the tiger now. *IF* the world gets progressively cooler what to all these climate 'scientists' do? If they climb down things will not be pretty, if they do not climb down, things will not be pretty. I foresee a lot of " what we meant by warming was getting colder" or even a seamless volte face and warnings of ice age unless we stop using fossil fuels - although that may be more difficult to execute.

This research reveals that society faces a much larger threat from climate change than previous studies have suggested. An analysis of thousands of peer-reviewed scientific papers reveals 467 ways in which human health, food, water, economy, infrastructure, and security have been impacted by multiple climatic changes including: warming, drought, heatwaves, wildfires, precipitation, floods, storms, sea level rise and changes in land cover and ocean chemistry. Seems like the cold is the new warm may be the way they will go.... "Tony Heller Published on Nov 19, 2018
In this video I show how climate scientists have continuously changed their story over the past 40 years. The same things they used to blame on global cooling and excess sea ice, now they blame on global warming and shrinking sea ice."

Imagine how the course of climate science and the public debate on climate change would be different if Michael Mann would have behaved in a similar way in response to McIntyre and McKitrick’s identification of problems with the hockey stick analysis. The words history, course and change come to mind (understandably).

But then Michael Mann may not have been invited to congress and have so much fame and fortune. Ethics? ? ? ? Que??

"These results highlight a substantial degree of uncertainty in our interpretation of the observed climate change using current generation of climate models."Such tact. If I may translate: The models do not forecast the Earth climate system. Yet idiot virtue signalling politicians are using the output of these crap unreliable models to cripple the world economy and keep Africa in poverty.

Yet idiot virtue signalling politicians are using the output of these crap unreliable models to cripple the world economy and keep Africa in poverty. And .... Although some of the climate models are able to simulate certain qualitative features of the observed DCV [Decadal climate variability] our results summarise and rigorously document pronounced quantitative discrepancies between models and observations, which should help guide further DCV research.
