Here’s a great interview which describes how warmists are overstating the dangers of CO2 emissions. I believe weather models slightly over-predict bad weather. That's OK. The forecasters don’t want to miss an outbreak of bad weather. If bad weather doesn’t happen, that’s good news. But if bad weather happens and there was no warning and people aren't prepared that’s not good. When climate scientists extend these forecasts into the future the over-predictions are compounded and they overestimate the problems. If this causes actions which are hugely expensive and wasteful, that’s not good. If these overestimates lead to government over-control, that’s as bad as it gets. Socialism doesn't work. youtu.be/fA5sGtj7QKQ

Yep. 100 years of data would be virtually worthless ........ wouldn't it?

My apologies if this has been posted somewhere already and I missed it, but I thought this was interesting: clintel.nl/brief-clintel-aan-vn-baas-guterres/ It is a letter from a Professor Guus Berkhout, apparently speaking on behalf of "A global network of more than 500 knowledgeable and experienced scientists and professionals in climate and related fields" to the UN that opens with "There is no climate emergency." I would be interested to hear other's thoughts.

Hopefully one day they'll have success. 500 signatures vastly exceeds the amount of scientists required to calculate 97% for concensus btw....but, ya know....

I would be interested to hear other's thoughts. Gridley, this is an excellent science-based summary of the problem with the UN’s characterization of CO2 and the purported climate emergency. There are 4 main points in the letter. 1)Greenhouse gases cause some warming. 2)The effect of greenhouse gases on the climate cannot be modeled accurately. 3)Warming and the climate effects have been much less than the modelers guessed. 4)CO2 is a necessity for life and the growth in CO2 has some beneficial effects. I've never met a respectable scientist who disagrees with the first statement above, the fact that greenhouse gases cause some warming. Unfortunately, the warmists can find people who say there are no greenhouse gas effects and successfully use this nonsense to label all skeptics as unreasonable idiots. The warmists are so successful at grouping skeptics into the idiot category, that a large proportion of skeptics avoid talking about the issue, even scientists in the universities. As I've said before, I cringe when I hear someone proclaim there is no such thing as a greenhouse gas effect because I know it undermines the credibility of all skeptics. I accept that the greenhouses have glass panes unlike earth's environment, but that has nothing to do with the clearly defined greenhouse gas effect. What is frustrating to me is that the warmists cannot defend against the arguments from points 2, 3, and 4 above, but they successfully avoid this discussion by first labeling all skeptics as idiots because 97% of scientists.....

Just came across this in a discussion within another group; as I am not qualified to assess or comment, I'm posting it for what it's worth: Greenhouse Confusion and Fear - Dai DaviesSoftware engineer Dr. Dai Davies has experimental and theoretical (quantum mechanics) experience in gas phase, and he believes a doubling of CO2 will have “no significant role” in atmospheric thermodynamics.

An ideal repository of images, graphs etc., for deflating alarmists copy them now before they are memory holed: "Global Warming Fraud Exposed In Pictures
