"Inside the media conspiracy to hype Greta Thunberg
* More than 200 media outlets and journalists partnered together with activists to coordinate and hype climate change news before the 2019 U.N. climate summit. * Two of the largest media outlets — BuzzFeed News and HuffPo — did not disclose their role in the project to their readers, a Daily Caller News Foundation review found. * The project raises questions about whether journalists should work side-by-side with activists to hype climate change."wattsupwiththat.com/2019/11/20/inside-the-media-conspiracy-to-hype-greta-thunberg/

Arctic appears close to long term average for this time of year.
Don't know about Antarctic - I suppose it is possible that SSW is still going? That would make a fairly big difference to planetary average - the Antarctic is large.
However, I would also think that is something that could reverse quickly!

I'm certain I have seen something fairly recently indicating Antarctica has been cooling for <x> years. Anyone? LATER: Climate data shows no recent warming in Antarctica, instead a slight coolingCooling: Flat:

Ratty there is no sign of any polar warming apart from some geothermal activity under the WAIS and the Antarctic peninsula

I just went through a "temperature anomalies" forecast for 3rd to 11th December period for planetary chunks.
Eyeball only.
Alaska/Canada: Alaska Warm, Canada Cold US: Warmer than average Europe: Average W Russia: Warmer East Asia: North Warmer South Colder Central Asia: North Warmer South Colder South America: Cold Aus: Warmer South America: Cold Africa: Cold
In view of the current brutal cold in North Asia, some of the results look strange.
The amount of snow now being deposited in N America and Europe also makes the results look strange.
I am not sure the numbers being seen really pass the pub sniff test!
