It was on my puter. Trying to use the "attach image function" Error message was forum quota exceeded for images. Where was the image you tried to attach? For example, was it in an article that you loaded from the web?

No, it was an image I had saved to my desktop.

What is the original source of the image? Was it from a website or is it a picture you took or an Excel Chart or ?.

Here's how I post an image to the forum.
If the image is already on the internet such as a chart in a Bob Tisdale post on WUWT, right-click on the image and select "Copy Image Location. Then select "Reply" (not quick reply) on the this forum, click on the "Insert Image" button (7th from the right) and paste the link onto the "Image URL" line. When you save the post a large image should appear in your post.
If the image is not on the internet, but is in your documents or pictures file, then you need to upload it to the web then follow the paragraph above. I upload my images to Photobucket since it's free and they allow a large number of images to be uploaded.
If you want to post a chart from Excel, then you need to first save the chart as an image into your documents file, then follow the steps in the above paragraphs.
These approaches use almost no Proboards resources since these images are not stored on Proboards but are called up only when you view a page. And they should result in a large image in your post rather than the smaller sized images I sometimes see.
If you have a problem with any of these steps I can provide more detail.

Duwayne: I think your process is excellent, and as you stated, uses very little resources from Proboards.
I will do so in the future!
Thank you.

I spent a little time this morning checking out the problem with using the "Add Attachment (AA)" button and here's what I found after talking to the Proboard support staff. Others of you have already posted much of this information.
1)The Proboard bucket is "full" and images cannot be posted using the "AA" button. 2)Images can be posted using the "Insert Image (II)" button. 3)If images are removed that used the AA, resources space is freed up to use the AA again. 4)These images that are removed from AA can be added back using II and this process can be aided by using the Edit Attachment feature. 5)Kevin, the board owner, has been notified of the AA problem and can take steps to free up resources if he so chooses. I see he has been online today and may be working on the problem. But he may choose to do nothing, particularly if he doesn't like some of the posts he sees on the board.
In summary, if posters use the II button I'm told there is no resource problem. My own experience is consistent with that (so far). If the image is already on the internet somewhere, using II is very easy. Otherwise it is somewhat cumbersome. I've outlined the steps for using II in an earlier post on this thread. I've found the images posted with II are larger and easier to read.

Duwayne: Thank you for taking the time to investigate this fully.
Photo bucket, or a similar parking spot for photos isn't that hard to use, just have to get used to the few extra steps.
Thank you again!

Dwayne, if I could trouble u to help me out here, if I wanted to post a pic off nullschool, and I right click on the image, I do not get the "copy image location" option, indeed I do not get this on WUWT for example either. I get share picture, copy picture, save picture, but copy picture and pasting in "image url" line produces nothing in the post?? Running windows 10 if that matters at all??

Acid - Here's another option. I've taken to using a screen capture app that's available for free at this location. Just download onto your machine and get your keycode. Every six months they'll come back and ask for a donation but will give you another keycode if you don't want to donate. www.donationcoder.com/Software/index.htmlI simply use the capture button, then grab selected region ... go to your image and drag a box around what you want ... then, under file, select 'save copy of image as' and write it to your hard drive. I then upload to photobucket and vuella ... you're in business. If you want a smaller image (kb wise), you can open it in paint.net or similar and save as a .png file before uploading to photobucket.

Acidohm, Missouriboy's suggestion should work for the Nullschool site or other instances where the "screen" you are right-clicking on is not in an image format.
You indicate you don't get the "Copy image location" option when you right-click on WUWT. Are you right-clicking on an image such as a graph within a Bob Tisdale post? Try right-clicking on an image on one of the posts on this site. If that doesn't give you a "Copy image location" option or something similar, could you let me know what browser you are using?
