As approaching elder status, all I can say is ... here, here! Or was that ... hear, hear!

Need to be over 90 to qualify as an elder? Or dead - as in the case of Nelson Mandela!

Need to be over 90 to qualify as an elder? Or dead - as in the case of Nelson Mandela! Which means he can still vote in Chicago.

The real question is.......will the two depts in the UK actually be abolished?
I have observed lots of fanfare in the past reqarding abolishing depts......but when the tire meets the road......there is no traction to actually get er done!

That is too bad acidohm. So much money wasted on stupid things anymore via govt. Actually, it is the deep pockets who demand the privilage of depleting the masses of any loose change.

Has that dept, in fact, been strengthened? www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/jul/15/decc-abolition-major-setback-for-uk-climate-change-efforts“Rather than bemoaning the demise of Decc, we should embrace the creation of BEIS,” argued the Policy Exchange thinktank. “Decc has always been regarded as something of a minnow in departmental terms. By merging with BIS, energy and climate change issues can be elevated to a much higher level politically.” Lord Deben, the chair of the government’s climate advisers, said: “what is done matters, not titles.... I’ll judge by actions.” Greg Barker, former climate minister and climate advisor to David Cameron, said the move made “huge sense”.
