I'm having second thoughts about Pruitt. I didn't realize that he refused to pursue the cases against Tyson regarding chicken manure phosphorous messing up our scenic creeks and rivers in eastern Oklahoma. His predecessor AG Drew Edmondson in Oklahoma fought Arkansas on Oklahoma's behalf, as we would expect. And the outcome should have been a chip shot during Pruitt's tenure. Pruitt took money from Arkansas' Tyson Chicken and left those cases to wither on the vine. I don't like that. Hard to assess from afar, Walnut. Any more background? Do you have a direct interest?

Training the legacy media ... "Well, everyone is talking about Donald Trump’s remarkable press conference on Thursday: brilliant, unhinged, historic, chaotic – sure, okay. But whether or not he, or the press, or neither of them, or both were fully aware of what was happening, to me it was clear as daylight: Donald Trump was training the mainstream media. And he was damn good at it, too, because it was working right in front of our eyes.

stateimpact.npr.org/oklahoma/2017/01/16/oklahoma-ag-and-epa-pick-pruitt-stalled-pollution-lawsuit-after-contributions-from-poultry-industry/He simply should not have taken money from Tyson. There are a limited number of high quality streams and rivers in eastern Oklahoma which are in the foot hills of the ozarks. and algae blooms from Arkansas chicken crap runoff had degraded most of them significantly. They were no longer crystal clear, and even had a strong nasty smell. And the rocks became coated with inches of green slime. So, he put his own career ahead of the state's interests. Those rivers are worth a little more than the $40k he received for his campaign. As for me, no direct interest other than having observed those pretty creeks and rivers turn uglier over my lifetime. We swim and fish in those places. This might be true: “Scott Pruitt’s antipathy for holding polluters accountable in his own state is a bad sign for things to come across America if he’s given the reins at the EPA,” EWG President Ken Cook said in an emailed statement. “The EPA’s job is to protect public health, not let industry off the hook for polluting our rivers and drinking water.” I'm having second thoughts about Pruitt. I will wait and see how Mr. Pruitt performs his duties.

I've gotta admit, this is a little concerning... no telling what is in those emails. I am afraid that he was basically legal counsel for Devon Energy while he was AG for Oklahoma. It could make Trump look kinda bad.

The interesting part of this is the way that the 'left' is deliberately conflating illegal immigration with legal immigration. This is a standard practice in neuro-linguistic programming blurring definitions so you can change people's emotional reactions to events and words. It seemed to me at first that the 'do you want fries with that' tendency were just unable to understand complex concepts. I then realized that the way the information is presented and parroted by the legacy media is very very carefully thought through. So now we are told 'but the US is a nation of immigrants!' - inferring that therefore we should not eject Guatemalan MS-13 gang members. Every time immigrants are mentioned by the legacy media it is 'children' often having their mothers 'torn from them' etc. Not a tattooed drug dealer from a gang. Precisely the same was being done in UK about the 'refugee' camp of migrants in Calais. Then when the 'children' were allowed in it turns out most were military age males. Now who is it behind things that the memes are the same in European legacy media and USA legacy media using the same subliminal 'programming' messages? Saul Alinsky would be proud of his billionaire students. Interestingly, checking I had the spelling of Alinsky correct got me this reference too www.theepochtimes.com/n3/2225950-training-manual-for-trump-protests-linked-to-saul-alinsky/ and that leads us to the puppeteer articles.latimes.com/2013/may/04/nation/la-na-donor-network-20130504There is nothing accidental in what is happening in world politics these days. However, the motives are more difficult. Must be more than Cui bono.

Counter productive to the White House and while there is no law or requirement the WH provide these briefs it has become seen as American. Never take the overt actions and speech of Donald Trump, it is the results he obtains. He has the media leaping about getting all excited about things that the voters are completely disinterested in. Polls are showing that the media is seen as less trustworthy than Congress, that is extremely difficult to achieve! So Trump is helping them dig their own grave, they are 'happily' making themselves the news giving many column inches and Television minutes to how badly treated they are - and only they care. If as seems likely jobs increase and the economy improves - and it was pointed out today by a retired senator that the Debt clock has reversed and the debt has reduced by a few 10's of Billions in the first month of Trump's presidency -- and all you hear from press is their whinging about being called dishonest (most people think they are) and some of them not being allowed into a briefing (something that is not uncommon) ... Then the media is complicit in the process of making themselves irrelevant - they are not barred from writing or transmitting whatever they want but they are choosing to go into poor me mode, and throw insults and make up stories. We are witnessing the death of the Legacy Media as it jumps over the cliff into irrelevance, and not only don't they realize it they are running faster toward the cliff.

I never imagined it would be easy .....I know how things work (or not) in the politico/legal/environmental space. A template might be found in Tony Abbott's dismantling of Australia's carbon tax?
