I'm a sundial man, Duwayne. Old school ... Don't you find it tedious digging it and rotating it on change to daylight savings time?

Got notice yesterday that the FTTN connection is now available; I've been getting 13Mbps (generally) off the existing copper. My ISP has a 25Mbps "bundle" for the same price I pay now. If I could average 20, I'd be happy. Hell, I'm happy now ..... most of the time. PS: I remember dial-up speeds, bulletin boards, temperamental modems, FTP utilities and polite users.

Yes the early days of chat rooms when worldwide there could be nearly 200 people logged in and you could identify people by the location of the access node they had dialed into. Marveling at the speed of a 2k4 modem Disassembling hotel telephone wall plugs to connect to dial up.... Now we have more power in the smart phones we can use to connect than the computers we used then - many have more computing power in their watches! And I can log onto the Internet over broadband connections from anywhere including in the aircraft I spend too much time in.

"And I can log onto the Internet over broadband connections from anywhere including in the aircraft I spend too much time in. " Is it YOU who has been introducing mind-altering substances into the jet fuel, Naut? PS: I think I got subverted on one of those chat rooms. Blush.
