LIGHT BULB MOMENT: Even if the snow were to disappear because of the extraordinary levels of CO2, you should be able to ski on dry ice and save the world at the same time. Oops! Forgot sublimation .....

I had to contemplate on just what thread to put this on but I think it is interesting. "Skiing all summer" at Squaw Valley? Apparently they received so much snow in parts of the Sierra this year the Ski Resorts may remain open all summer. I am sure this does not fit into the alarmism about man made warming but this was the epicenter of debate a few short years ago when the snowpack was almost non existent. As Mr. Dubyne over at Adapt2030 pointed out in his latest Youtube video. "Whats going to happen if the snowpack does not melt this summer and gets another epic snowfall event next year? www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-04-18/this-year-you-can-ski-all-summer-in-california-s-squaw-valley Provided the Chinese keep sending us food, I should be OK for a year or so. Did you guys stop producing FOOD, as well as the COAL? And you keep electing these people?

Well for all you believers 2017 is, as Theo has said, is the year of the official start of Global Cooling. As to the dead cows, for example this news story from CBS mentions mentions almost 10,000 cows died, I wouldn't place too much in those numbers. denver.cbslocal.com/2017/05/04/dead-livestock-blizzard/ Putting that in perspective the total number dead is less than then the cows at the Tejon Ranch in California. Personally I am an "agnostic" on the subject of Global Cooling/AGW. What I do know is that the Roman Warm Period gave way to the Little Ice Age and just about every "warm" period gave way to a cold one. I have no reason to believe the current warming won't give way to cooling at some point as well. The forces that have always driven the climate still are doing so. As for "believing" that 2017 is the official start of global cooling? I don't know. But it certainly does not hurt to be prepared for it. Having a storage of food, clean water, seeds, fuel, guns and ammo is insurance for a lot of things ranging from global cooling to an EMP, Solar Storm, Super Volcano etc... Later this solar year of 2017 most certainly is the start of the global cooling Glenn, as I have forecasted. By the start of the 2020s, we will have already entered the next little ice age, and by the end of the next decade, we will have seen the Earth's climate colder and wetter than anyone living can remember. The trend lines to my global cooling forecast have been evident for years now, and with this false spring, we can observe the truth of this in regions around the globe, including Europe and in the United States, like in the Midwest where farmers, as I have forecasted, are struggling with the torrential rains and floods I warned about. www.agweb.com/article/us-corn-fields-turn-into-lakes-as-spring-deluge-floods-midwest-blmg/

Reading over the last post I noticed I somehow avoided the wrath of Astro for my poor use of the English language. Thanks Astro, I may not have faith in your forecasts but I have faith you - are- a good person and I don't want to lose your contributions to this community. My forecasts are not for the 'faithful' Code, but for everyone. You do not need to believe in my forecasts for my forecasts to be accurate and my contributions are for everyone as the climate and its weather affects us all.

If Theo's forecasts bear out - as they have done - the heat island effect is precisely what the cities will want.

I haven't driven the car for a while. Last winter tho, I watched the outside temperature as I drove into a town of 5,000 folks. In the country, it was -14F. When I got just to the edge of town, it was -13F and when I got to main street, it was -12F. I did my business, and when I left the temperature in the country was still -14F, and where I was in town it was -12F. I was explaining to the wife the Urban Heat Effect. She was pretty surprised!

Code, this study, titled “A global economic assessment of city policies to reduce climate change impacts,” appeared in the journal Nature Climate Change and is total crap. Here is just one of the many completely idiotic statements based on 'man-made global warming' (which doesn't exist.) Quote: An analysis of the impact of climate change on almost 1,700 cities around the world showed that cost for cities to deal with the increasing effects of a warming planet is more than twice the amount spent by the rest of the world. A big part of the reason in this discrepancy is the turning of urban areas into what the analyst-researchers call heat islands." For one, the Earth hasn't been warming for 14 years. And two, the turning of urban areas into 'heat islands' is BS. Global cooling isn't a joke, and it is now a given as we are much closer to the Sun's quiescent phase. Those who are about to experience global cooling - and everyone will experience the weather of the coming little ice age - will look back and wish for the 'warmth' that many called bad.

Someone should start comparing the costs of these 'fits' of global cooling with the costs of warming. I was down in Mississippi and western Tennessee for 3 days. Beat the remnants of Valerie on my way down ... but the energy released by that cold front darn near blew Memphis away. The locals were tagging it as the 3rd worst storm in terms of power outages. Sustained winds of 65 mph and gusts over 80. They were counting lighting strikes and had reached 1500 in one cell I was watching. That line of storms was moving through at 60 mph and the rain was blowing sideways. Same thing in Columbia I was told. And again, we are well above normal on precip for the month. Interestingly, the NWS shows Memphis as 1.4 F BELOW the May normal this year. These transitions seem to be characterized by large variances in the day-to-day weather.
