Starts when everyone knows their rights but none of their responsibilities ... the latter being the mirror image of the former.

Is this really the state of politics in the USA now? Well yes it is - compare and contrast this Trump arrival with the arrival of Jean-Claude Juncker in say Germany, or Hungary. Or if you want to be more domestic Prime Minister May in Basingstoke or Wigan. The USA has gone from permanent food stamp growth large numbers unemployable and permanently unemployed, manufacturing decaying - to more than full employment, more vacancies than people looking for jobs, nearly half a million new manufacturing jobs, all minority employment at its highest level ever, self sufficient in energy in fact an energy exporter. If you want a job at any age you can have one. Taxes and regulations are down and more to come. The guy is popular and has been keeping his promises despite continual blocking by the democrats (he still has not had a third of his cabinet posts approved by the slow walking senate) and the misquoting and attacks by the democrat propaganda arm the main stream media. He apparently has around 3 hours of sleep a night, takes no pay for the job - he is giving it all to charity. What's not to like?

When I arise in the morning, I expect a comprehensive wrap-up of the midterm elections here on this thread. Are you up to it? I can handle the truth.

Congratulations Sig! Naut - looks like you may did dodge a bullet (or 2) down there. Sobering it's that close. We are waiting hopefully for the McC to fall. UPDATE - She fell. Those assemblages of polls are still just as bad as ever. Don't know why people keep paying for them. They must be taking lessons from climate scientists. Fire the whole lot. The Dems and their minions put a whole gonzo bucket of cash and prestige into this election effort ... and all they get out of it is a tiny margin in the House ... and they get thumped in the Senate. Once they sober up and evaluate, I expect to see a proliferation on mini head explosions all over blue-blue land. If past performance is an indicator of future behavior, the American public will get a "full Monty" view of the Left's best and brightest over the next two years. I might even subscribe to a channel where I can watch Comrade Mad Maxine trying to deal with Finance. Let's see how well they perform at the ballot box in 2020 after the upcoming show. Monty Python could launch a whole new career with the material that will be available.

That "Blue Wave" is a ripple. Democrats tonight are now telling everyone that they are going to supena President Trump. They will never learn. Long term, that is a very good thing as it will assure President Trump is a 2 term President.
Senator Cramer is no great shakes, but he can't screw up as badly as Senator Heitkamp did. Her vote against Justice Kavanaugh sunk her.

Her vote against Justice Kavanaugh sunk her. The Democrat Response From One of the Twinkling Little Lights of the Left VAN JONES: There are still people standing in line in Georgia and Florida. This is not over, people need to say out there and continue the fight.
This is heartbreaking. The hope has been that the antibodies would kick in, that this infestation of hate and division would draw a response from the American people and both political parties to say no, no more.
That does not seem to be happening tonight. It is not a blue wave, but it is still a blue war. We've got to continue to move the fight forward. I think that sense of helplessness that has really fueled a lot of this outrage and outpouring from Democrats may still be there tomorrow, even if we have the House.

Posted on a conservative site here in Oz
8 November marks 2 years since President Donald J. Trump won the US Presidential Election 2016.
By the way, the US midterms overnight during President Trump's first term (net Republican loss of about 24/435 House seats, and net Republican *gain* of about 3/35 Senate seats) compare favourably with President Obama's first midterm (2010: net Democrat loss of 63/435 House seats, and net Democrat loss 6/34 Senate seats) whilst President Clinton (1994) fared even worse, losing 54 House seats and 8 Senate seats, also losing control of *both* houses of Congress) .
Is that a reasonable way to judge 2018?

It is precisely the correct way to judge it. The histrionics we will see over the next 2 years will teach the millenials what the left really is while what they want to do will be constrained by a Republican Senate.
