Opinions required: How bad is Trump's 'airport' gaffe? There is a sense of ennui setting in. We have seen the president of the United States wrongly accused of 'crime' by a lynch mob of opposition politicians and journalists for a period of more than 2 years while a "show me the man and I will find the crime." retired Director of the FBI who literally hates trump - dug around unhindered and _ failed_ to find a crime. Instead he created a report of innuendo. That 'report' is now being used by the same lynch mob of politicians, talking heads and mummers to continue accusing the President. The realization is slowly setting in that this is actually standard behavior for the Democrats who are the party of Jim Crow and the KKK, they are merely reverting to type, with mobs turning up on Republican front yards and chasing republicans from restaurants. They are all chorusing WOLF!! on every CNN/MSNBC 'news' program, late night comedy has become party political broadcasts. The hot headed few who like to dress in black with masks and assault those who can't fight back - get their heads heated up again, but otherwise it is all beginning to pall. If they go on at this level for the next 18 months, 'We the People' will vote them out just to get them to STFU. This is like Hanrahan' moan being repeated continually in response to anything by hundreds of NPCs

... but, what about the gaffe and his response?

... but, what about the gaffe and his response? It does not appear to have raised a lot of noise. Someone reading from a script that is strictly timed as he has aircraft being fed in to hit at precisely the right time (I have had to marshal aircraft in flight to overfly at precisely the right time - it is VERY difficult to be accurate to within 10s of seconds) has 'aircraft' and 'airport' on his mind so is spacing his speech to hit particular precise times - and the teleprompter freezes so he goes on from memory and 'ports' becomes 'airport' not unlikely if your brain is doing two things at once. Remember too that the Democrats had spent the previous week recording soundbites that this was going to be a Trump election rally, and it wasn't - so they had squandered any credibility they had anyway. Some had even reported that nobody was there due weather. Against that a 'slip of the tongue' seems minor.
