No matter what, this interglacial’s days are numbered.

No matter what, this interglacial’s days are numbered. Yeah...its just, geological days are a bit like....well, would 'a lifetime' not be inappropriate??

Yes, but anyone capable of critical thought that looks at the glacial-interglacial timeline, in particular the Holocene, should recognize that climate change is constant and recent temperatures are unremarkable....I think 🤔

So it may not take 'geological' ages to drop in temperature. The discrimination of proxies like ice cores is not very accurate a sudden drop in temperature inside a year would be 'smoothed' by the sample discrimination of hundreds of years. Especially, if the alteration was due to a climate shift that did not affect all areas equally. The poles could stay at close to the same temperature while the climate in what was the Laurentide Ice Sheet area becomes frigid.

It has been a cool interglacial as MIS-11 was. MIS-11 lasted 44,000 years. I fully expect the Holocene to be that long.

I guess I really need to talk to my IQ test provider. FROM THE COMMENTS 9 hours ago johnk42 The human race is committing suicide because idiots are too stupid to accept science. If any of the morons who deny climate change had an IQ above 100 they would be able to understand the evidence.

I think there may have been some exaggeration in that report.

Yes Ratty I think you are correct a simple bit of thinking would suggest that 60 inches of hail would melt to at least 30 inches of water so a daily rate of yes 6x60x24 inches per day yes 8640 inches per day. Makes Houston's light sprinkle of rain earlier this year look like drought conditions.
These reporters are the basis of this fake news through stupidity.

Personally, I doubt the claimed IQ of anyone who reduces ' anthropogenic catastrophic climate change' to just ' climate change' as it shows that in their mind the climate only changes because of human intervention - an obvious fallacy. Once someone starts expressing themselves in 'media speak' it is apparent that they are either trying to persuade the less intelligent or are one of the less intelligent themselves.
