"The real early-season varieties that bloomed early and bloomed ahead of some of the other varieties, it pretty much devastated them," said Friend. I suspect other farmers with late season varieties are doing better? It appears that I had no plum set this season. They bloom slightly ahead of apples. Seems like the bees came out in great force timed with the apple bloom. Wonder if they missed the early bloomers.

Possible origin of Dansgaard-Oeschger abrupt climate events
"Numerous studies have found evidence of an apparently regular and significant climate event every 1,470 years (on average), which seems to show up most clearly in glacial periods. They speak of a ‘robust 1,470-year response time’, ‘a precise clock’, ‘abrupt climate change’ and so forth.
We find also that Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune conjunctions are such that: 148 * J-S/2 = 74 J-S = 41 S-N = 115 J-N = 1,470 years. [74 + 41 = 115]
Therefore 3 of the 4 major planets have a 1,470 year conjunction cycle."tallbloke.wordpress.com/2018/05/19/possible-origin-of-dansgaard-oeschger-abrupt-climate-events/Seems there is more support for Theo

Should I read on past this? " The warmer spell we’ve seen since the late 1990s has generally meant warmer conditions in Ireland and Britain, more North Atlantic hurricanes, and worse droughts in the US Midwest."

Actually, I posted a reference to it in another place with this intro: This is mostly alarmist rubbish; however, the AMO in a cold phase with a quiet Sun may not make for pleasant weather:
