Leslie is back and searching for the Carolinas again..... It never rains but ........ BTW, we had a thunderstorm last night that dumped 35mm in about ten minutes. It may have been the heaviest rain storm that I have witnessed. Cloudburst? Knocked all the blossom off my lemon tree. PS: It looks like September may pass here WITHOUT a 30C day. Highest recorded is 34.9C on 29 Sep 2017. Are you out there Astro?

SCIENTISTS SEE NATURAL OCEAN CYCLES AS ‘DOMINANT’ IN 2017 HURRICANE SEASONWhile models suggested any future warming in the Atlantic Ocean would increase the risk of major hurricanes, the study’s authors suspect natural ocean cycles played a dominant role in 2017’s active hurricane season.
“The effect of anthropogenic warming is very slow,” the study’s lead author Hiroyuko Murakami told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
“On the other hand, natural variability like Atlantic Meridional Mode (AMM) and Atlantic Multidecadal Mode (AMM) exerts significant fluctuations for sea surface temperature over the tropical Atlantic Ocean,” said Murakami, a scientist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory.I suppose Hiroyuko will be able to get a job mowing lawns or washing dishes.

The climatologists equivalent of accepting the 3rd light ... {for those not of a historical bent: " World War I. If three soldiers decided to smoke cigarettes together after dark and lit their cigs from the same match, the strike of the match would alert an enemy sniper of the soldiers' presence. As the match burned to light the second cigarette, the sniper would have time to aim his rifle. Finally, as the third cigarette lit up, the sniper could shoot the third smoker."

Perhaps he will go hard right and then weaken as he approaches the end tip of the coast? I hope not that is close to what Hurricane Charley did - went straight over the top of here
