Global Cooling: 2017-2053 'Irregular Seasons Has Begun' by Theodore White, astromet.sci Before the next ENSO of 2020-2022 arrives, I will remind some on about my seasonal forecast calling for highly irregular seasons of 2018 and 2019, where I predict that our recent brutal winter 2017-18 in the northern hemisphere would lead to an early spring with summer-like temperatures. In fact, spring 2018 will be short-lived, leading to an early summer and long fall season of 2018. The spring of 2018 already has exhibited anomalous weather for some regions of the United States. April 2018 was one of the coldest months of April in the U.S. since conventional weather record-keeping started in 1895. The historically low spring temperatures created problems for farmers in the northern plains and Midwest as the unseasonably cold soil prevented them from planting crops on time. Agricultural experts expect that, as in years past, the cold spring temperatures portend a lower yield when farmers harvest in the fall. Astonishingly, much of the northern plains and Northeast was colder than Anchorage, Alaska in the first half of April 2018. Now, what many people though would be spring would feature a traditional or classic spring coming out of winter, but spring did come early - however it was colder and wetter than normal. If anyone is noticing, now there are warmer-than-normal summer-like temperatures evident in early May 2018. We are going into a period of time in 2018 and 2019 where warmer-than-normal and drier than normal weather will take place with high irregularity of winter, spring, summer and autumn. A t this time, most people will be surprised to know that the next winter will be highly irregular will not arrive under early February 2019, according to my calculations.
While this prediction did not hold for the East Coast, it does match what the West Coast is experiencing and in particular it matches Seattle. How would one best serve crow? Roasted or baked? I think I would prefer roasted with some sage, salt, and perhaps a hint, just a hint, mind you, of rosemary. SEATTLE -- The season's first winter storm is behind us, leaving behind a region blanketed in several inches of snow and smothered in an arctic air mass that has nighttime temperatures dropping into the teens -- or even single digits -- turning roads into frozen messes.
And we may just be getting started, with another winter storm looming at the end of the week. komonews.com/news/local/deep-freeze-makes-for-icy-commutes-but-potentially-significant-snow-storm-looms-for-endAstro made the forecast in May 2018 and was only a few days out in Jan/Feb 2019 - all the climate community was forecasting a non winter and it took till late summer before Joe B started saying it looked like a modoki driven winter Don't go selling coats

I've modified the map to suggest a place that just froze over. I like it when weather reporters try to be funny. Hmmm ... solar minimum. It's not quite December 2008's two weeks of winter mayhem, but it has been a long time since we've had this kind of extended exposure to winter storms. What El Nino?

Some people have greatness thrust upon them. Maybe DJT is on the way to achieving greatness?

Enjoy it while it lasts. Im not sure about the mountains of Washington but by the middle of the century "the new reality" is there wont be any snow at Lake Tahoe. Only rain. This from the Tahoe Daily Tribune: "Imagine Lake Tahoe with no snow year round. Every winter storm that reaches the basin brings only rain. No skiing. No snowboarding. No winter sports of any kind. As unpleasant and uncomfortable a thought it is, Tahoe is staring at a drastically different future. A dramatic decline in the Sierra Nevada snowpack will be felt the most in Northern California by mid century, according to a study published in December 2018 by the Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab)." www.tahoedailytribune.com/news/lake-tahoes-new-reality-study-says-sierra-nevada-snowpack-to-suffer-sharp-decline/For God sakes does anyone question this trash or do they take it as fact?

You suppose they put that in there so they'd have a defensive line to fail back to? Sneaky little bastards.

IPCC 2001 "The climate system is a coupled non-linear chaotic system, and therefore the long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible." I like that quote. At what point in the last 18 years did the IPCC figure out they could predict a "coupled non-linear chaotic system" and make the impossible possible? I am still skeptical of anyones ability to predict the weather just three days in the future. And I am extremely skeptical of anyones ability to predict the weather outside of seven days. Getting climate right years and years in advance? Like predicting the Super bowl winner in 2070. But somehow those good folks at Berkeley did a study and duped the simple minded into believing there will be no snow at Lake Tahoe by the middle of the Century. Only rain. Dreary damp and cool but no snow for Tahoe. I'm booking my ski trip for next year because I want to see Tahoe in all its snow and splendor before it all melts a way in the next 31 years. By the way current snowpack in the Sierra Nevada's? It's 100% of normal after getting 11' last week and more is on the way. This comes after finishing last year with one of the snowiest March's in decades. And then there was 2017 which saw some of the ski resorts stay open until the fourth of July! abc7news.com/weather/sierra-snowpack-at-103-percent-of-average-for-state-for-1st-time-this-season/5094234/www.forbes.com/sites/trevornace/2018/04/05/snowiest-march-in-decades-fills-lake-tahoe-with-enough-water-for-three-years/#ff66b2705326fox40.com/2017/07/04/rare-fourth-of-july-snow-conditions-bring-thousands-of-skiers/So to sum up. 2017 ski resorts stayed open until the July 4th weekend because they had so much snow. Last year we witnessed one of the snowiest March's in decades and was dubbed the "miracle in March" by ski resorts and this year is over 100% of normal. Anyone see a pattern here? But it's all over forever by 2070 because of our addiction to fossil fuels...

This is what happens when supposedly "respectable" climate scientists and their political handlers adopt the Joseph Goebbels method of climate forecasting. It has been repeated so often now that the lie has become the truth. Will the "good German defense" suffice when the counter witch hunts begin? Is this a corollary to the old joke that if you spin any German around in circles, they will always stop pointed East and start marching? Advance apologies to any offended Germans.
