The CFSV2 has been an utter embarrassment over the last two months. Hopefully those who still have an open mind will look at the performance of this model and and take a good long skeptical look at the so called "longer term models".

Even it's ENSO output, its like someone is feeding it the model equivalent of crack.... It isnt taken seriously amongst the model watchers i communicate with...

It seems that there is some parameter in their model that is really sensitive to minor change causing the model output to flip-flop about

Can't find any snow data for yesterday in Kirksville MO, but it may be their snowiest November since 1974, which was the largest in the 1895-2018 record. They closed the University for today. Here we got probably 4-6 inches but it was blowing hard ... and it was wet. Our old snow record for November was 8.27 in 1971. We had two other snow falls totaling just under 5 inches this month. The record may be in danger. That Indian is definitely wearing a coat.

There are more experienced forecasters saying back loaded winter then otherwise. Maybe Astro will be correct in the late winter bit, but, here it isnt really indian summer. Its chilly, just not cold.
