It is April. It is snowing. There is no record of it ever having snowed here this late in the new year. I mean, ever. Usually, we are in t-shirts and shorts on April 1. I have photos going back 80 years to demonstrate. Someone said that C+ students rule the world. I think it is now the C- students. AGW? Who's kidding who? Hey Don. Where are you posting from?

I've always been a skeptic of AGW as with any science and my opinion is that it is very likely.

I used to be a an AGW believer until I saw the great global warming swindle a year or two ago. I thought the program was total B.S. so I started researching it using my spare time to get back to my "safe" warming zone.
Never been back there, never will, Converted 10-20 already and I'm sure my kids have made many other kids question the whole silly concept. Lots of people just believe the BBC here in the UK which was my failing as they used to be unbiased in everything so you just believe what they are spouting without question. I've recently questioned the credentials of a BBC science correspondent and received the response that "I took a course on Climate Change at the open university" When I responded "Did you pass and does it have any value now as the temperatures are falling " I didn't even get a reply. So sad to say, the once great BBC is now the LAST place to look for information and SC24 and WUWT are the most interesting/real places to see whats really going one in the world.

I'm all for people watching "Swindle", but to me, all it shows is that the Big Ball of Fire has a part to play. And the research says about 1/3rd of the present climate change is solar variance -- those killer solar cycles (SC22 and SC23) we had.
So, we might catch a break and return to the weather from two decades ago, but when it's done, and that Big Ball of Fire wakes up, we're right back to where we were a few years ago before "Global Cooling!" filled the denialosphere.

Heh, if 1/3 of the warming was from the big ball of fire, that means the return of that 1/3 would just restore that energy (no neat increase). If you'll look at the temperature record, the peak to peak warming rates so far only gives us warming of about .5C/century. Knock off your 1/3 and we're down to a rather anemic .33C by 2100. Am I supposed to be alarmed by this? Of course, that's overall warming relative to the natural warming/cooling cycles. The temperature would actually peak around 2070 at not much higher than the 2000's temperature plateau. I know I shouldn't be debating here but I just wanted to make sure you realized what your position actually entails with respect to AGW theories. Global warming is basically called off through 2100 according to you.

I agree that the program should not be consumed without question which is why I now frequent these forums to try to find the truth. I think what it really does for people is let them know that CO2 science is far from settled and is riddled with inaccuracies and dodgy models. I'm sure CO2 does have a part to play albeit not anywhere near the scale claimed by the warmists.

Hmm, so when the Sun goes quiet it cools and when the Sun gets mad it warms... What was that other thing we used to talk about, oh yes CO2, guess we can forget that now.
