Just googled it....looks stunning, how is it there are so many towns in croatia like this seemingly unknown to the world π€ Are you still planning to make Macedonia?? I think the Germans found it, and it appears quite popular with Croatian who work here in summer and winter in Zagreb. Unlike old town Dubrovnik, some locals seem to actually live in old Town Rovinj. Such a maze of streets in such a small area. A more winding version of Korcula with a hilltop cathedral. Headed north and west from here to Liguria.

Bastardi is, of course, correct. Here's a history of about a century of storms in New Orleans: web.mit.edu/12.000/www/m2010/teams/neworleans1/hurricane%20history.ht. The article leaves out the 1915 storm, which appears to have been a category 3. So New Orleans gets hit with a major storm on average every 25 years. Katrina was in 2005. We are in the early years of the danger cone. It will be an interesting day when it comes. I live in the French Quarter, above sea level, and with an ample supply of adult beverages. As Mr. Ratty might say, "no worries, mate."

"Hurricanes have always been bad β why arenβt they worse? By Joe Bastardi |June 24th, 2019|Climate|
With hurricane season upon us, it is predictable that almost all storms which threaten the U.S. will be attributed to global warming. The next two hurricane seasons, given the political climate, will likely mean some cat 5 bloviating no matter what the case. As I like to do, I have decided to explain why something may happen, beforehand, and why itβs perfectly natural. I took 3 areas and some selected sites to review some notable storms, what happened, and why something worse could happen. I strongly advise you to arm yourself with hurricane history to resist the onslaught of hysteria in store."Much more here:: www.cfact.org/2019/06/24/hurricanes-have-always-been-bad-why-arent-they-worse/#disqus_thread

A fish storm - i.e. so far out to sea that only fish are affected. It is also one of those storms that in the pre-satellite era would not even have been counted.
