The male mosquitoes are plant sap drinkers they do not bite animals. The females will usually only bite animals/humans once to get sufficient high grade protein for their eggs. So the idea is that the females get the VD fix from the males who cannot cause a problem anyway and the result is almost no fertile 2nd generation mosquitoes. There really is not much of a downside to this one except for people who have not been told the mosquito life cycle. Bird 🐦food. No bird food. A huge downside.

Indeed think like a system engineer - take away the mosquitoes what used to consume them? What is the alternate food source? If that alternate food source is depleted what impact will that have on us?

'“First of all, we had a lot of protests in Florida that were peaceful and no one said anything about it. …I think if you look around the country, what happens is, like in Portland, these people riot every night. They go, they get their mug shot, and then they get put right back on the street to do it again. That’s what we don’t want. …The minute you harm somebody else or you harm somebody’s property, you do those types of things, the only way we’re going to put a stop to it is to have very swift penalties for it. …One of the reasons we are here today with the bonuses is because we know just how important that is. It tells people, ‘Hey, if you are in Portland and you think you can come down to Florida and do this, stay out of our state!’ We don’t want you coming down here and causing problems. …If anyone does cause these problems, if you try to burn something down, try harm anybody, but particularly a police officer during one these violent assemblies, there will be consequences. They will be swift and they will be severe. They will be such that people who see that happening will know that’s not something that we want to do going forward.”'bongino.com/desantis-warns-rioters-stay-out-of-our-state-or-there-will-be-swift-and-severe-consequences/

Heck, my hometown would greet them with open arms. Invite them to the local range, (we are "open" range), show them what an assault rifle isn't. Then to the local bar. (Get them drunk and "disorderly")........ Well, we would just have to show them what a good hockey check looks like. 👏

Whoever would run for Mayor of Atlanta with a name like Lance-Bottoms (sounds like fun though). "Homicides spiked for the second straight year in Minneapolis, to 84 deaths -- the highest tally since 1995. Cleveland had its highest murder tally since 1982, after a nearly 40% jump in killings last year.
Houston hit 413 murders in 2020 -- a 42% increase over 2019. Indianapolis saw a 40% jump in murders. For Denver, the murder increase was 50 percent.
Cops aren't doing these killings. They're doing their jobs trying to prevent these killings and apprehend the killers."

It isn't just in a few cities: www.lawofficer.com/exclusive-homicides-violent-crime-aggravated-assaults-increased-in-2020-per-fbi/ "Per FBI preliminary statistics for 2020: there was a 25 percent increase in homicides overall violent crime increased by 3.3 percent aggravated assaults increased by 10.5 percent" Note that the FBI changed its methodology this year - I haven't been able to find the full 2020 report yet. But: "The FBI already released data for the first six months of 2020 using their previous methodology, US Crime Rates. Per that report, after decreasing slightly in 2018 and 2019, homicides and aggravated assaults were up for the first six months of 2020 with overall violent crime being flat (0.4 percent decrease)."

This is contrary to the 'narrative' from Zuckerberg and @jack - It will be interesting to see how 'big tech' handles reporting it.
