Many warmers whose stated goal in life is to save the planet say skeptics are conspiracy nuts that have misplaced fears about an attempt to bring us under one world government control thereby surrendering our liberty, freedom and national sovereignty. The video from Monckton and subsequent reading of the actual language pretty much puts it all into perspective. Now there is this: www.nytimes.com/2009/10/26/opinion/26iht-edban.html?_r=1A deal must include an equitable global governance structure. All countries must have a voice in how resources are deployed and managed. That is how trust will be built. Any questions? Let's see.....The meat of the matter will be all gone, the United States of America will become.....a state of the states of the world.....somehow......I don't care for that ring. I do understand Britian likeing that idea tho. They couldn't think their way out of a wet paper bag without someone holding their hand. A country that was taken over by a lawyer with a real talent for public speaking a winning smile and married to a lawyer met in a law practice,, a lawyer who stated that the income taxes on the middle class would NOT be raised - the lawyer and progressive friends then spent their time in government breaking down the established structures and taxing by stealth resulting in a towering national debt...... yes - none other than Tony Blair. Now the USA has been taken over by a lawyer with a real talent for public speaking a winning smile and married to a lawyer met in a law practice, a lawyer who stated that the income taxes on the middle class would NOT be raised - the lawyer and progressive friends ....... The USA could well be next and the emergency that is coming - the total collapse of the dollar - could be the excuse to take on emergency powers. Have you got any paper bags to try to think out of?

OH crap......I am out of paper bags....but I do have some burlap ones. And a bit of tar and those chickens out back will gladly loan their feathers. Actually, after I posted that I felt bad. Britain years ago had learned a lot from the US, but seemed to forget all that it learned in the past 20 years. Is the US going to forget as well? We are on a rocky rocky road.

On the bright side, the collapse of the dollar is about the only thing that will allow us to pay off the federal deficit....assuming the US economy survives at all

Actually we had the doom and gloom in the media when our dollar plummeted in Australia - yes it made imports and overseas travel more expensive but the upside was we became a lot more competitive globally in terms of exports because of our reduced dollar (we went down to around 50c US) made everything exported cheaper. As far as Copenhagen is concerned its simply a socialist agenda www.twawki.wordpess.com

Dear Malcolm,
(identifying information removed)
I am appalled at your lack of conviction, and/or lack of knowledge. You support carbon trading because you think the "electorate" supports it, not if its right or wrong.
I am a Physical Chemist, and can quite categorically state some simple facts:
1. The Earth is in a long cooling trend, and has been for about 10 years
2. The Sun is dimming, and we may be heading for a mini-ice age.
3. The Antarctic sea ice is close to a record winter maximum, and has been above "normal" for several year.
4. The Arctic Ice is in its second year of rapid recovery. One might ask "If the Ice is growing so fast, and this trend continues, where will it stop?"
5. Carbon futures have fallen to 10c a tonne!
6. CO2 is unlikely to have any effect on the Earth's climate.
Please have some political courage to front up against the ridiculous claims of the IPCC and its vegetarian Hindo (should I say Voodoo) economist.
There is (of course) a huge propaganda effort to promote Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) from the extreme left of politics - where we have educators and "green" scientists. Real Scientists are excluded from the debate.
...
I would encourage you to reconsider your promotion of the Left agenda.
kind regards

This is what I sent out - tried to give them something to think about. Got some interesting replies so far from national senators offering full support to Labor senators either telling me I'm wrong or them playing with words, Will try and write a piece up on it. Wrote to my local elected member (liberal) and he linked me to his speech which was appalling. Wrote a commentary on it here; twawki.wordpress.com/2009/11/11/no-wonder-we-are-in-this-mess/''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Heres what I sent out; I wish to say any political party or politician who supports the ETS will NEVER get my vote again. My family, friends and colleagues feel the same way. That this undemocratic, draconian and religious green policy that will do nothing for the environment is being pushed by our so called government with no real protest from the opposition is utterly appalling. As the sun goes quiet and the world cools why are you not objecting fiercely to this fraudulent warming tax! When warm periods are the golden periods of earths history and cooling the times of devastation why is the government not doing due diligence and preparing for the cold that has started and scientists and natural cycles say is likely to deepen. History will judge this generation of politicians and leaders most harshly for their ineptitude and failure to protect the populace. Be warned it may not be long before the populace, hungry, cold and impoverished from this tax haul you and your associates through the courts for your utter failure to protect us. One faith to rule them all twawki.wordpress.com/2009/10/21/one-faith-to-rule-them-all/

Yeah but this time its not JUST the people with money. They tapped into the environmental movement and the guilt at our very existence caused by the political correctness movement and came up with this civilization destroying bull$#!+. When you analyze it that's REALLY what it is. They talk about green jobs but only the most pitifully stupid or unobservant (usually the latter) should ever believe that it's even possible to overhaul the entire energy industry while simultaneously imploding our entire manufacturing base. That they claim they'll create jobs while imploding the economy, increasing costs of basic resources, overhauling the entire energy industry AND paying an "environmental debt" to 4-5 billion other people around the world...its just beyond imagination. Perhaps if our culture is so unimaginably ignorant and stupid...it deserves to die and be replaced. I for one, will not let it go down without a fight. I have two daughters. I want to assure them the best future possilbe. Incorporating cap and trade or some wistfully ignorant idea that the wind will supply a reliable source of energy to propel that future is just so insane. The environment damage to make this transition is beyond the pale. There is not enough lithium in the world for batteries, solar is a very dirty process in manufacturing, the list just goes one. Trading co2, which does provide life, for something so toxic to life is so ludicrous. I don't understand the deception with themselves that people have when thinking this through to conclusion.

Let’s see whether Alan Jones picks this up on 2GB radio in Sydney tomorrow, he has been scathing about the government on this. Also hopefully there will be some editorial comment in the Australian, We need to write to our politicians en-mass this week to make them aware of what is going on – as they vote on the ETS - links to their email addresses on Steven Fielding’s site (also on mine). If we keep the comments coming on Andrew Bolts blog and also get more people to sign the online petition that Barnaby Joyce has then we can give this greater momentum. Additionally if people can link/and or comment about this site, Bishop Hill, Air Vent, Climate Audit, Andrew Bolt etc and any other relevant site on their tweeter, facebook, myspace etc – it will give greater traction and exposure! Get to work people!
