It's worse than we thought. Its proof of climate change!

It's worse than we thought. Its proof of climate change! Not just proof, robustly consistent. Baltic ferry leaving a trail of destructive CO 2 in its wake:

BBC say 3 ferries freed themselves. They say 50 more ships are trapped, apparently by 70 kph winds pushing the ice against them. Doesn't sound like terribly strong wind to me but they expect it to ease by noon and everything will be back to normal. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8550687.stmJAXA: 14,215,000 km^2 (March 4, 2010) bwahaha, at 07:30 GMT BBC are reporting that the icebreakers are now stuck. Maybe not quite so funny if you're stuck out there.

I like this site for the Baltic. www.bsis-ice.de/Makes me wish I was there. My trips to Finland, Lapland and the Russian border, the fishing was great! Some were summer, some winter. I'd guess this week it would be ice fishing? Maybe catch a chilly tourist? Cheers,

But all is OK: Heavy ice, just like heavy snow, no ice and no snow, warm winters and cold winters, are all consistent with predictions of global warming/climate change/climate crisis.

JAXA 14,294,688 km^2 (March 5, 2010) Correction: 14,314,375 km^2 Grew >50k a day for the last 5. My crystal ball says this wiggle has some life in it yet and 14.5 is looking likely for mid next week.

Well, my poll choice (14-14.25) is now not the winner. What is driving this wiggle? Is it real growth in ice coverage or is it existing dense coverage spreading out to more area at 15%+ coverage?

The high pressure over Greenland is fading so I'm guessing it's more spreading than freezing. Grew by 100k since yesterday.
