So far fracking has made a huge change in the flow of money. From peak oil to oil glut. If only the oil glut would translate into cheap electric power. Oh wait the EPA and Obama have that covered.

Unfortunately I would not categorize it as interesting I would categorize it as beyond worrisome.

Unfortunately Obama and his team create crisis after crisis with no one able to keep up with any of the facts. They then continue to assert that they are in charge and you better do as they say.

Funny how the focus is on the minimum wage. To me as more regulations pile up I do not hire I do the work myself or I automate. I just spent an extra day dealing with a shed I bought from CostCo that some guy in planning said was not OK on commercial property but 20 feet away was OK on residential property. Regulation and bureaucracy kill jobs. In general they make me more wary and insecure then I act accordingly.

magellan I did not hit the like button on your post because I do not like what it truthfully says. A very sad but accurate post. I never expected to see this in my lifetime. Of course I am old but my kids are not.

It doesn't work like that! 15 minutes will save your job! "Another agency tells Congress: File not found" "The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the IRS share a problem: officials say they cannot provide the emails a congressional committee has requested because an employee’s hard drive crashed. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy confirmed to the House Oversight Committee Wednesday that her staff is unable to provide lawmakers all of the documents they have requested on the proposed Pebble Mine in Alaska, because of a 2010 computer crash. Sorry do not know the source but
"NIGHT WATCHMAN
Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert.
Congress said, "Someone may steal from it at night."
So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job.
Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?"
So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies.
Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?"
So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One was to do the studies and one was to write the reports.
Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?"
So they created two positions: a time keeper and a payroll officer then hired two people.
Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?"
So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary.
Then Congress said, "We have had this command in operation for one year and we are $918,000 over budget, we must cut back."
So they laid-off the night watchman.
NOW slowly, let it sink in.
Quietly, we go like sheep to slaughter. Does anybody remember the reason given for the establishment of the DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY during the Carter administration?
Anybody?
Anything?
No?
Didn't think so!
Bottom line is, we've spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency, the reason for which very few people who read this can remember!
Ready??
It was very simple... and at the time, everybody thought it very appropriate.
The Department of Energy was instituted on 8/04/1977, TO LESSEN OUR DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN OIL.
Hey, pretty efficient, huh???
AND NOW IT'S 2014 -- 37 YEARS LATER -- AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS "NECESSARY" DEPARTMENT IS MORE THAN $25 BILLION A YEAR. IT HAS 16,000 FEDERAL EMPLOYEES AND APPROXIMATELY 100,000 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES; AND LOOK AT THE JOB IT HAS DONE!
(THIS IS WHERE YOU SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD AND SAY, "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?")
34 years ago, 30% of our oil consumption was foreign imports. Today 70% of our oil consumption is foreign imports.. Ah, yes -- good old Federal bureaucracy.
NOW, WE HAVE TURNED OVER THE BANKING SYSTEM, HEALTH CARE, AND THE AUTO INDUSTRY TO THE SAME GOVERNMENT?
Hello!! Anybody Home?
Signed....The Night Watchman"

Sig So much of stupid is being paid to be stupid. Obama exemplifies the pay for stupid and get control. AGW has been dead for many years but pay for stupid goes on, it is totally political. As an aside the sun does not do political!

With a little green effort via the EPA one can grab defeat from the jaws of victory by stopping fracking. Skyrocket revisited "Promise Made, Promise Kept: “Electricity Rates Would Necessarily Skyrocket” linkWith cheap, clean, domestic and plentiful natural gas directly under our feet right here at home why anyone would say that electricity would "necessarily skyrocket" has gone mad. You want to stimulate the economy? Lower everyones light bill by promoting cheap energy and watch them spend the savings on iphones, beat bugs or family vacations.
