I think we are going to have a long cold winter. On a recent trip from Texas to Nebraska we saw two flocks of geese headed south in August...I don't think I have ever seen them this early. I am wondering about this idea the solar system is leaving a warmer cloud for a cooler cloud. If the sun has to maintain a constant range of temperatures, this cooler cloud would serve as a dampener of solar spot activity while simultaneously perhaps make the sun produce more CMEs as the sun's engine tried to ramp up production to stay constant in a colder cloud. Basically the idea of a ball of gas in a warm room vs. a ball of gas in a cool room. Take this a step further...if the earth has it's own system of maintaining conditions...maybe the ramp up in ocean temps is a result of this dampening affect on the sun. I am a compete novice. Just uninformed speculation while I watch the squirrels in my backyard hard at work preparing for winter in Texas...another reason I am worried...

We saw two flocks of geese heading south on the way to Nebraska. Have heard the Monarch butterflys in Florida are early too.

All good points. I was not trying to suggest my personal situation as evidence, just interested in the coincidence of headaches. I have exceptional hearing (I hear weird frequency shifts all the time others don't notice) and my body is very sensitive to pressure changes (I know when a storm is approaching). I also have a sixth sense with knowing which way north is. Lately, it feels like there is a storm all the time. Doc says I am good, so maybe just psychosomatic. I just thought it was interesting when I headed north, it went away. Was hoping by sharing, maybe some others out there have similar experiences. Thanks!

Long time lurker...this thread made me register to post. I am in central Texas, last month and a half, I have had extreme pressure in my head. Some days are so bad, can't drive. Recent trip to Nebraska, no problems once we reached Kansas, pressure went away. Drive back home, hit Oklahoma and bingo pressure again, and it got worse the further south. It is not bothering the rest of my family. I am somewhat overweight, so I wonder if this has something to do with it. Air definitely feels different to me this year in general.
