I malted my own grains when I was into home brewing. It has to be a labor of love because it's a lot of work when you can just go out and buy any number of craft beers for about 10.00 a six pack.
I figured if it ever really hit the fan guns, ammo, food and fermented or distilled grains would hold a premium as currency.

I hate any restriction of free speech. I have been banned by more than one site for my views.
With that being said Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are not public and can enforce their rules and terms of service as they see fit.
As consumers we do not have to visit these sites either...

Does anyone remember the gentleman from Spain who used to post on here a few years ago? I can't remember his name but it would be interesting to get his take on this arctic airmass over Spain.

East Texas can be pretty. First pick is from East Texas and the area called the Cross Timbers extends down from Oklahoma to the Texas Hill Country.

We will welcome you with open arms. But stay away from Austin, Dallas and Houston. They are currently occupied by the enemy! Is there any area of Texas that looks like the open oak savanna lanscapes of Central Florida around Ocala (Often called the horse country)? Texas has something for everyone. We have the Piney Woods in East Texas, Gulf Coast beaches, desert and mountains in West Texas. Lots of Rivers and Lakes for those inclined to fish. And it even gets cold way up in the Panhandle for those who like high plains...

I find this photo kind of amusing but I don't think Congress shares my sense of humor. I'm guessing he will be arrested in 3....2....1.....

Nautonnier, The Democrats did not need to make adjustments to the Dominion machines. Trump's mouth and endless Twitter rant's won it for the Dems. If they didn't need to, then why did they do it? We are going to have to secede, this is not going to work. Realistically, No state is going to secede. Personally I thought Trump was going to run again in 2024. I think with his actions over the last few weeks his political career is over. I have talked to many of my more conservative friends and most of them are upset with how he treated Pence who had no Constitutional authority to do anything but open and read the envelopes with the electoral results. I have always thought Mike Pence was a good man in a world full of snakes. He certainly did not need to be back stabbed by Trump for something he had no control over.

Interesting day. I am not sure if the mob had a plan or was just acting out of frustration.
No matter how you want to spin it after four years of President Trump the Republicans have now lost the House, the Senate and the Presidency. As a conservative I am at a loss for words.

I believe in a strict interpretation of the Constitution. I can find no statement in it that gives the power to de-certify an election to the Vice President. Our founding fathers were great men gifted with incredible foresight. And to me giving ANY vice President power to simply de-certify an election would be folly. There is a process to contest an election but it does not rely on one man. Trump is just plain wrong. Personally I think by insisting Pence has that authority and by putting pressure on both the VP and the AG of Georgia to "find votes" he is acting more and more like Hitler did in his last days in the bunker than he is a great President.

It's been average to warmer than average winter so far in my part of the world. Two mild freezes so far is all. According to NOAA we just wrapped up a much warmer year than average.

From everything I have read Covid-19 IFR is somewhere between three and five times higher than that of the seasonal flu. It's clearly much deadlier on the elderly than the young and those under 50 have a very, very low chance of dying from Covid. Hindsight is 20/20 but from what we know about it now our efforts would have been much better spent focusing on protecting the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. Looking back I don't think the threat posed to the entire population was worth the damage we did to our economy. www.livescience.com/new-coronavirus-compare-with-flu.html
