Yep agreed lets debate the facts not throw ad hominen attacks What exactly are the facts to be debated? There is a BS line about Bill Gates and his desire to reduce world population through vaccination - purporting to take a meaning from a statement he made that just misses what was even said. There is a conspiracy theorist with many "inside sources" which nobody else can know about who tells him things about a secret society's plans to control the world. And the Italian PM denounces Bilderberg influence (big deal ... politics as usual). Ad hominem is defined here: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ad%20hominemas this: I find it ironic that my response is called ad hominem (apparently fittin the second definition) when the original accusations are themselves appeals to feelings or prejudices (definition 1). There is nothing factual in them to even respond to, so what more appropriate way is there to respond than to call it bullshit?

Prison Planet is a page put up by Alex Jones, correct? And this is a radio talk show host as I understand it. I also find him interviewing Daniel Estulin here: infowars.com/articles/interviews/estulin_daniel_05_27_05.htmI'm not surprised that they're on the same political page here. And in this article is something I am beginning to recognize as typically claimed by Daniel Estulin: Everything he is claiming is something coming from his secret sources working for the Bilderbergers. Secret inside sources? And this small group intent on running the world can't find their leaks and plug them? They let these guys continue to leak their secret plans to an "investigative reporter" who tells the world about them so they can be stopped? And the facts I'm supposed to address are these unverifiable claims made by a guy with secret sources? On one of Alex Jones' sites ( www.infowars.com/ ), I find the words "Because there is a war on for your mind." There sure is, and in this war, I'm not following him, either, nor the woman standing outside of the train station with all the words on her clothes and signs posted around her, nor the people who tell me I'm going to die of catastrophic global warming, nor the people who tell me I've been slowly enslaved by tens of thousands of satanists running financial institutions in the US, nor the bilderbergers, etc. Sorry, I don't buy it. These guys are not accurate in situations I know about, so I sure as heck don't trust them to be accurate in areas I can't verify.

If a lunatic, like the ones who are convinced the Bilderbergs/trilateral commission/Rockefellers/satanists/grays/MIB/VRWC/denialistplots has spent a lot of time researching their obsession(s), does that make their beliefs any less delusional? No. I said from the start that this is an inappropriate thread for this site. It would be a good thing if our host simply deleted this thread.

scpg02, IRT your comment "Deleted? Rather than just moved to a different section? Interesting." Perhaps it was a poor expression of my thoughts. I certainly do not wish to further feed the conspiracy beast. All I am pointing out is that this thread has nothing to do with climate, and only tangenitally even with the sociology of CAGW. It only corrodes the credibility and stature of this otherwise extremely interesting website. This discussion is about as productive as one with believers in alien abductions.

That's why I found it interesting. You don't believe in the conspiracy in any way shape or form likening it to alien abductions. Because of this, you think it should be deleted as completely worthless. To heck with other people who want to discuss it or any proof they might want to put forth. Your opinion is the correct one and therefore the thread should be deleted. You might call it a poor choice of words but it said a lot about your frame of mind.

Interesting thread! In my view the CAGW scam has been orchestrated to get the peoples of the world to pull together, under the auspices of an unelected world government, to solve this non-existent problem.
The recent financial collapse was orchestrated by the same ruling elite to stiffen the resolve of politicians, even though they new from the obvious 60y climate cycle that a colder climate was due.
However, consumer research surveys across the globe show that more and more people disbelieve that CO2 has much effect on climate and the colder it gets the more chance we have the plan will fail. Always remember, we are many, but they are few.

what's wrong with alien abductions? isn't it at least plausible that the Bilderbergers are extra-terrestrial in origin? I mean they can't all be Illuminati lizard people.

scpg02, No disrespect intended. What I was trying to say at the start of this thread is what I am trying to convey now: "Hmmmm.....I am sure there is a paranoia board out there someplace where you can indulge this. Never rely on conspiracy when stupidity and group think will do just fine."
socold, Alien abductions are great, from what I hear. The Bilderbergs are looking to move their DNA drift experiments into the larger ecosphere and transform us all.

Agreed - the proof is in the pudding. Why is the role of the sun on the earth almost totally ignored by the MSM. Here we are in unchartered waters with a quiet sun with huge potential implications for humanity and yet the MSM and the governments are still totally ignoring it and providing the public with almost no information or education on it. With immunisation in America a child can end up with almost 40 jabs prior to the age of 2. Parents are expected to TRUST THE GOVERNMENT as to what is in these jabs. I don't - I am one who didn't get my kids immunised because of the risk and I don't believe in bypassing their normal body defences to inject foreign substances. They are now healthier than all their peers by far. The whole global warming lie continues to be pushed despite mounting evidence to the contrary. People are being taxed into poverty with hikes in the cost of water and electricity which causes everything else to go up. What shouldnt we be outraged by. Interesting thread! What it has to do with climate is our governments pushing the global warming lie to the detriment of the populace - I would say it is highly relevant. If you dont like it - dont read or comment on it. scpg02, IRT your comment "Deleted? Rather than just moved to a different section? Interesting." Perhaps it was a poor expression of my thoughts. The fact that you keep using the word paranoia proves you do intend disrespect despite your other wording. And yes there are political boards that discuss this.

Monetary inflation is doing a great job of driving us under.

I agree it is only part of it - it's an appalling scenario and we need a complete change of governments - we need to get back to sovereign and national rights and protections.
