I am newcomer here. Had some queries in my mind about this motion. 1. Can you please elaborate whether the orbit of earth and moon are in same plane? If not then what is the inclination?
2. Earth's axis is tilted around 23 degree. What angle does the axis of rotation of earth make with its orbit around sun?

I am newcomer here. Had some queries in my mind about this motion. 1. Can you please elaborate whether the orbit of earth and moon are in same plane? If not then what is the inclination? Please let me restate: I think what you mean to ask here is whether the PLANE of the orbit of the Earth (nothing to do with Earth's ~23 deg axial tilt) and the PLANE of the orbit of the Moon (nothing to do with the Moon's ~6.7 deg axial tilt) are the SAME PLANE. Answer: No. The moon's orbital plane is inclined 5.1 degrees with respect to the plane of the earth's orbit. AKA: The Earth's orbital plane is also known as the ecliptic plane, or, just "The Ecliptic". 2. Earth's axis is tilted around 23 degree. What angle does the axis of rotation of earth make with its orbit around sun? Yes, the Earth's axis is tilted ~ 23 degrees. THIS IS WITH RESPECT TO THE PLANE IN WHICH EARTH ORBITS THE SUN (that's why we get the seasons... it is <already stated> with respect to the SUN). What angle does the axis of rotation of earth make with its orbit around sun? ~23 degs. Same answer. Just restating it for (hopeful) clarification.
