When the press only plays parts, and people don't go to source, America will fail.

We are currently in a war with the "Chinese" which nobody will acknowledge.... "Microsoft President Brad Smith said on Sunday that a recent hack of the Texas-based IT firm SolarWinds was “the largest and most sophisticated attack the world has ever seen.”
“I think from a software engineering perspective, it’s probably fair to say that this is the largest and most sophisticated attack the world has ever seen,” said Smith during an interview on CBS’ 60 Minutes.
SolarWinds was penetrated by hackers last year, resulting in a massive hack of U.S. government and corporate sites.
According to the U.S. government, the hack — which is suspected to have been orchestrated by Russia — breached SolarWinds’ software, giving hackers access to thousands of companies, including several U.S. government agencies.
The hackers obtained access to emails at the U.S. Treasury, Justice, and Commerce departments, as well as other agencies. It is believed that the hackers’ goal was to seek intelligence, rather than conduct any type of immediate destruction, according to a report by Reuters.
The breach could have compromised up to 18,000 SolarWinds customers that used the company’s Orion network monitoring software, and likely took the work of hundreds — maybe even more than a thousand — engineers.
“When we analyzed everything that we saw at Microsoft, we asked ourselves how many engineers have probably worked on these attacks, and the answer we came to was, well, certainly more than 1,000,” said Smith.
It could reportedly take months to identify the compromised systems and expel the hackers."More here: www.breitbart.com/tech/2021/02/15/microsoft-solarwinds-hack-was-largest-and-most-sophisticated-attack-ever/

As a follow on from the above Breitbart quote, a more technical one from The Register... "Microsoft says it found 1,000-plus developers' fingerprints on the SolarWinds attack As FireEye reveals how suspicious second phone signed up for 2FA gave the game away
Microsoft president Brad Smith said the software giant's analysis of the SolarWinds hack suggests the code behind the crack was the work of a thousand or more developers.
Speaking on US news magazine program 60 Minutes, Smith labelled the attack "the largest and most sophisticated attack the world has ever seen."
"When we analysed everything that we saw at Microsoft, we asked ourselves how many engineers have probably worked on these attacks. And the answer we came to was, well, certainly more than 1,000."
If anyone understands the havoc 1,000 developers can create, it's Microsoft.
Smith didn't say who those 1,000 developers worked for, but compared the SolarWinds hack to attacks on Ukraine that had been widely attributed to Russia (which denies involvement).
"What we are seeing is the first use of this supply chain disruption tactic against the United States," he said. "But it's not the first time we've witnessed it. The Russian government really developed this tactic in Ukraine.""More Here> www.theregister.com/2021/02/15/solarwinds_microsoft_fireeye_analysis/In a previous existence I did a LOT of work in IBM Basic Assembler Language (BAL) and JOVIAL. My days would start with several boxes of core dumps in Hex print out delivered to my desk - find out where it fell over - fix the bug (ideally ONLY the bug) then set up verification/regression tests; start next boxes of print out. Up to 3 or 4 of those a day. So you would check the register pointers find the programs involved and then read the code - and it was surprising after a while you could look at a BAL (assembler) program and recognize the programmer's style - enough to know where the probable faults were. I was told by people that spent a long time using morse that they could recognize the signaller by the 'accent' in Morse. (Sig may be able to comment). So I can imagine that not only would Microsoft engineers have identified particular dialects in the coding but also been able to allocate that coding to 'programmer X' etc.

Morse code. Yep, everyone had a certain style.

Chiefio E.M.Smith - has a post here where he goes into a lot of detail for those that are interested. He worked for a while in security and has suitable levels of paranoia chiefio.wordpress.com/2021/02/16/why-i-worry-about-chinese-chips-hardware/

I posted a rant a week or so back about companies and services beginning to absolutely fall apart: abc7chicago.com/usps-chicago-mail-lost-no-delivery/10350809/I think I have something sitting in a Chicago processing center. Had something sit in the Tulsa main plant for over a month lately myself. I'd say that "it's like a third world country", but it's worse than that.

How much of the world's current craziness can be attributed to excess printed QE dollars? I think that the bitcoins are absorbing excess cash. Wait until medium term interest rates rise even 50 basis points and watch cryptos rapidly deflate.
But also, we have flooded our society with so much cash that we have free time to riot in the streets over manufactured causes, heck we even invented a fake pandemic for cover. We all got a forced one year vacation and they tell us "we are all in this together".
The question is, how has the US dollar maintained it's value this long?
