Replacement Transformers for the grid could take 6 months or more to construct - if it is possible at all with all the power down. It's hard to take cryptos seriously as a currency. I just can't seem to get enthusiastic about them. I have tried. I have a friend who last month bought $350k of Dogecoin with a $.45 average. Then the bear market hit.

I'm not saying what he did was in any way reasonable. It was obviously crazy.

Back in 2008 I was offered Bitcoin at $20 a coin. I didn't bite then. Not sure I would now (even at $20!!) The precious metal dealers are getting to me. " Gold will outperform stocks; and silver will outperform gold...." So as 'experts' we want to sell you an asset that we expect to outperform all others..... R I G H T.... The other one has bells on

I knew that cryptos were floating on foamy water when Musk answered that the reason he prefers Dogecoin over the other alt coins, "Dogecoin has dogs and memes, whereas the others do not". LOL I loved that

Gold and silver have been around a lot longer than "poofcoin". The nearly pure 1oz gold chains I picked up in Saudi back in the mid-90s are never going back to the sub-$100 I paid for them. Dealers are adding about $100 (5%) to spot for 1oz gold coins. But silver is being marked up 30% over spot and they can't keep it in stock. The old real estate addage is true here too. You make money when you buy, not when you sell. Even day traders would probably agree with that.

You have been warned.... "Amazon has had its sights set on the smart home ever since Alexa came along, but now the online mega retailer is thinking bigger, and envisioning entire smart neighborhoods. First announced in 2019, the effort is called Amazon Sidewalk, and it uses wireless low-energy Bluetooth and 900MHz radio signals to pass data between compatible devices across far greater distances than Wi-Fi is capable of on its own -- in some cases, as far as half a mile, Amazon says. "www.cnet.com/home/smart-home/amazon-sidewalk-will-create-entire-smart-neighborhoods-faq-ble-900-mhz/This is really worth reading - and it also tells you how to disconnect from the idea - if you don't want neighbors linked into your home monitoring cameras.

"Death spiral of American academia Posted on June 9, 2021 by curryja | Leave a comment
by Patrick J Michaels
Earlier this year, Eric Kaufmann of the University of London published a remarkably detailed and comprehensive study of bias in academia, “Academic Freedom in Crisis: Punishment, Political Discrimination, and Self-Censorship.” Kaufmann’s writing is a product of California’s Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology, a small think-tank set up to do research that is forbidden in today’s academy. His finding of rampant left-sided political bias in publication, employment, and promotion in the Academy — and discrimination against anyone right-of-center — qualifies as forbidden scholarship."judithcurry.com/2021/06/09/death-spiral-of-american-academia/Read this it explains a lot. I have seen this myself in US "Universities".

"Our sacred democracy has never been in more danger than it is today. Little by little, industry by industry, the far Left is fundamentally transforming the country we love. And it’s an aggressive, hostile kind of takeover we’ve only seen in some of the world’s darkest societies.
Tonight, at 9 p.m. ET, 8 p.m. CT, Glenn exposes how the Biden administration and Democrats are aggressively scrambling to reset everything: our free and fair voting system, our kids' education, our policing, immigration and border security, our economy, our military, and our energy supply. Finally, Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) joins to discuss how Biden's "woke" policies are threatening America's national security and our way of life. "

This may or may not be linked to the Biden assault on the USA, but it certainly matches with what Bill Gates is doing with agricultural land

^^^ Thats kinda scary - you (greedily) sell to the highest bidder (50% over, who wouldn't) then find that the house you wanted to buy has also sold to the highest bidder, waaay beyond your mortgage capability. Now you're screwed....

Now you're screwed.... And all you can do is rent...... Or to put it another way..... " You will not own nothing and like it." Klaus Schwab and WEF Everyone is being expertly played as the quote above puts it quite neatly - nobody forced to do anything unnatural..... but it ends up where Klaus and his billionaires want you to be.
