Some of us pre-date inoculations. The current controversy is unbelievable.

What is so unbelievable about it? It is unbelievable that folks refuse to inoculate themselves and their children. I don't care about the adults so much, if they are stupid, they are stupid. But kids don't have the ability to make informed decisions, and to have the exposure is not worth the risk. Just plain stupid. I had an Aunt, (rest in peace) who was very VERY bright. She got measles at 17, was never the same. At least she could still play the piano, and play it as in concert, but her mental abilities were that of a 6 year old. A cousin who lives, but wrestles with a bad heart from Measles, an uncle who was a very robust kid, measles and was sickly ever after. My wonderful wife is a nurse. She remembers a case of tetanus. The child was rigid, completely, 10 years old. Dying, doc didn't follow protocol and gave massive penicillin injections, as he said the kid was going to die anyways, and he was going to do everything he could to not let that happen. Life's experience indicates that inoculations are well worth the risk. Yet, some idiotic folks..................refuse..................

I don't see the refusal as irrational. There is a correlation between vaccines and autism, and no I don't think thimerisol is the reason. Correlation is not causation but I'm not buying the whole science is settled thing either. Even in the recent outbreak, several were well vaccinated having had multiple shots. Despite this, I heard a doctor on FOX say you can't get it if you have been vaccinated. Bullshit according to the CDC. This whole thing just raises too many red flags for me.

You mentioned my passion in regards to inoculations. I have had a lifelong passion for science.

There is no correlation between autism and vaccines. Actually there is. I'll post the study when I get to a computer.

Jenny McCarthy is a nut job. She is like M. Mann. A charlatan. I've never seen any of her stuff but her name gets dragged out a lot when anyone tries to stand for the other side. I thought we were talking science here, or was I mistaken?

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I'd like to revisit the science on this when I get a chance. I've been busy with two quilts. One for a charity fund raiser and the other my first commissioned quilt.
