Sky News host Andrew Bolt says global warming is unique in the sciences because "you can be completely wrong but it doesn't matter as long as you've exaggerated the scare and spread more panic". "Tim Flannery has just won a medal from Scotland's royal geographical society for his – get this – his ability to communicate complex climate science to the general public," he said.
"Who cares that Flannery was 100 per cent wrong. Dams did fill again. And who cares that he was wrong to warn Sydney was about to run out of water, and Perth would become this century's first ghost city because of global warming.
"It does not matter that he was wrong. What matters is that he was filled with the holy spirit of the global warming religion. If he was wrong, so what? It was in a sacred cause, to scare the rest of us into belief."

It will only be a cold wave of ice age levels that will stop the warmer fake panics and perhaps return everyone to real science.

The problem in Australia will not be a shortage of rope it will be a shortage of trees.
They smell quickly in that climate also.

In old speak, Africa in the '70s tractors was code for tanks is that what you meant? Not really But back in the early 70's working in London ATC center an aeroflot cargo aircraft was asked if it was carrying secondary radar. (A system that adds a 'code' to the response from the aircraft making identification more secure and it can also provide the altitude of the aircraft) - up until then the voice comms from the aircraft had almost been caricature of classic 'well bred' English. Imagine Peter Sellars/John Cleese pretending to be the 'upper class twit'. However, after the question on secondary radar there was a pause and the next voice sounded like a similar caricature of an uneducated Russian. " London, Ve are carrying agricultural machinery" So not tractors but close

The real problem is that there are innumerate non STEM politicians that (1) really believe it - after all it was on the weather channel and (2) think that by cancelling red meat they can get the Earth back on its original axis
