Bungaree, Victoria (from the BOM site - www.bom.gov.au/climate/cdo/about/cdo-rainfall-feature.shtml#graphs ) I note that the "high" IOD period after 1995-1997 seems to be represented in this location's graph by low relative rainfall. But since BOM choose this one to display, does that say anything? I am holding out for a BOM grant ... or an existing digital table or file for representative locations or larger area summations. I expect that they are NOT interested in my "opinions". Perhaps YOU have more pull. BUT ... since what is labeled here as "big dry" has been going on for a LONG time (c.23 years), have your "responsible" officials not foreseen that the absence of controlled burning might yield major uncontrolled burning? How many doubles do they usually have before their "inspirational" sessions? All redundant I know.

Watchers Volcanic Activity Report - Seems like quite a few. Some old favorites as well. And if the "big" crater around Naples (the bay is the crater) is still swelling, Central-West Italy might take a trip to the Moon.
New activity/unrest was reported for 4 volcanoes from January 15 to 21, 2020. During the same period, ongoing activity was reported for 16 volcanoes.
New activity/unrest: Krakatau, Indonesia | Kuchinoerabujima, Ryukyu Islands (Japan) | Semeru, Eastern Java (Indonesia) | Taal, Luzon (Philippines).
Ongoing activity: Aira, Kyushu (Japan) | Asosan, Kyushu (Japan) | Dukono, Halmahera (Indonesia) | Ebeko, Paramushir Island (Russia) | Fuego, Guatemala | Ijen, Eastern Java (Indonesia) | Karangetang, Siau Island (Indonesia) | Klyuchevskoy, Central Kamchatka (Russia) | Nishinoshima, Japan | Pacaya, Guatemala | Reventador, Ecuador | Santa Maria, Guatemala | Sheveluch, Central Kamchatka (Russia) | Shishaldin, Fox Islands (USA) | Suwanosejima, Ryukyu Islands (Japan) | White Island, North Island (New Zealand).

Well I watched a video of folks jumping on a board and driving a piling in. Just have to get the Icelanders to stop dancing in the streets. Prohibition required. Would they go for that?
